How old were you when you had your first kiss?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm curious. Sorry if this is a repetitive topic- I'm sure someone else has posted this before, but I didn't find it.

So...how old were you? I'm 14...and I still havent had one. Also, how old were you when you first started dating? That may be the same question, in some cases, but I'm curious about that too :)

EDIT: I was kissed by my bf on my 15th birthday- it was perfect and amazingly awkward :) Thanks for everybody's answers!

lol ignorant of human nature.

Ok, I am done bantering.  How old are you, anyway? 14?

This thread is useless.

lol. dont get mad. i actually like hearing what you &ibez. o yea, just wanted to say i like your hair in your pic. =)

but isnt sex human nature?... just sayin'

I was 17 for both.
I'm not young anymore but I wanted to call bull on the idea that it is "VERY different" for young girls and young guys. I think guys feel nearly the same sense of vulnerability and emotional intensity with early sexual experiences, they are just encouraged to hide it/shrug it off/deny it. And the more you do things, the less they affect you that way, so after a while it really can become "no big deal" - for both sexes.

The main difference that I will grant is the level of physical pleasure is often drastically skewed and very unfair to girls. I maintain that if girls were sexual only when their bodies actually wanted to, i.e. for the physical pleasure, they'd be doing a lot less stuff with a lot fewer guys, and it would be much better experiences.

Guys - what are your thoughts on this, does the observation that men also have great intensity with early sexual experiences ring true to you?

First kiss 14. Big mistake. As for sex.. not yet. Hey come on, I'm only 15.

*sigh*

I'm old at 22 and haven't had my first kiss yet.....To tell you the truth, I've only ever wanted to kiss one guy that I was kind of, sort of serious with.  But he moved away and the long distance relationship thing just didn't seem to work with him.

And I know I'm old-fashioned but I want to save my first kiss for my fiancee/husband someday.  He better watch out, though, he'll be in for some serious kissing once I get started!!!!

I am 13 and my "boyfriend" we kissed but he only liked me because he assumed he'd get some tail (which he did not, will not, and won't ever get) so yes it's not worth it and i broke up with him and am darn proud of it. It's not worth it to kiss them if they aren't the right person.

First boyfriend: 14

First date: 17

First kiss: a month shy of 18

Best kiss: The first kiss my husband gave me before we were married.

My very first kiss at 17 was HORRIBLE. The guy had had another girlfriend before me that he kissed, but you wouldn't have known it. I was a better kisser than him by the second one, even though he had more experience.

The very first kiss between my husband and I when we first got together was like lightning. It felt like a current passed between us and I felt like I was going to swoon. It was awesome. We still have a lot of those kinds of kisses.

I had sex for the first time with my husband a couple months after we got engaged, I was 19. I don't regret it one bit. The timing was perfect, although the location wasn't :P

edit: To the person on I think page 3 who mentioned husband/wife thanking an experienced spouse for not being an atrocity in bed... My husband said I was awesome the first time. And he's not one to lie about these things. Yes, some people will be horrible, but there are those of us who pick it up almost instantaneously :P

first boyfriend: end of 9th grade

first kiss: summer between 10th and 11th grade

Im now going into my first year of college and im still with the same guy! I liked another guy before my boyfriend a lot. a...lot. i wouldnt done probably just about anything to get a kiss from him. but looking back on it, i'd be disappointed that it wasnt with my current boyfriend.

12 :)) i've always been grown up for my age. I'm 15 now :))

I was a late bloomer. I had my first kiss at 18 at a club in Europe. It turned out the girl attended my university...and she was a lesbian.

I shall admit....I have yet to be kissed...even out on a date. I am 18 years old. I want to start dating but I am extremely shy and I look for the smart pretty girls but here in Cincinnati its really hard cuz they seem to all have boyfriends already and the ones who dont are quite dirty so yeah. Also I dont have much confidence in myself since I am quite large and all. Its one of the reasons I want to lose weight.

O and about the whole people making bad desicions is in their genes things....NO that is absolutely not true. The problem is that there is an EXTREME stress on individualism which in lesser amounts is not that bad but as you mentioned asian cultures not being as rebellious that is true to the fact that the society is based around community and family honor and such however here its all about you. There needs to be more stress on family and on the community and shame and such this way the next generation will not be so rebellious. Trust me I am growing up in a home where family is pretty much the most important thing. However I think there is a little bit of too much of that in my home as I am starting to rebel a bit and I have drank a couple of times and gotten drunk once. So in personal experience it is nurture for sure but nothing will change unless there is less emphasis on individualism in our society. BTW this concept of individualism is consistent in almost all westernized countries.

I was 20. Didn't know him very well, really liked him though...but he broke up with me :(. I wish I had waited...Don't rush it, it'll happen :)

15 :)

It was a random night with a random person. I actually don't even remember who. Just the age!!

whoooa...to gennysaurus- i dont think i ever said this was a deep profound thread

useless? why? i was curious. sorry to cause trouble, but i think its a fairly innocent question. i wasnt asking for sex tips or anything like that- i was asking how old people were when they had a first kiss.

doesnt seem too irresponsible to me. nor did i think it was "gratuitous idiocy."

but reading your posts, i'm guessing you would blame my parents for not raising me with the right values.

not ALL teenagers are blatant idiots who make stupid choices. some are responsible and intelligent and know their own limits and are smart enough to set boundaries. its actually pretty insulting that you think a lot of us constantly need supervision over every aspect of our lives.

sorry. venting. :)

Eheh... honestly, my first [actual] kiss was early this year at a party with six or seven other girls [most of which had never kissed anyone].
We got bored.

As far as boyfriends, I've been with mine for about two months [I'm 13 - yeah, little]. We were besties through all of sixth and seventh grade, and we're still like best friends in a lot of ways. It's kind of nice. Anyway, I've kissed him, but we haven't made out or anything.
Fine with me, since I don't really get the appeal of having a tongue stuck down your throat.

hehe i was really old. You ain't got nothing to worry about at 14!

I was 19, drunk, and it was with a girl! o.O

^^ LOL - this made me giggle!

i was...i believe 14 - 8th grader - right after a high school football game with my boyfriend at the time. ah the good ol' middle school days :p

I'm 19 and have never been on a date or had my first kiss yet. The kiss I don't mind, but the date part brings me down once in a while.

I didn't have my first kiss until I was 19. I started dating when I was around 14.

I just had my first kiss like 2 and a half weeks ago. It was with my boyfriend, with whom I have a long distance relationship. I'm 17.

I have to say, it wasn't that great a kiss. But it was a sweet memory. I'd just flown over to the UK. And I had just passed through customs. He jumped over the little barrier thing, hugged me really tightly, and kissed me. It was sort of hurried. And it was the first for both of us. But still, it was nice. Airport kisses are the best. :P

15Kisslol
