20 year old girl help with what to eat.

Hi everyone, I am new here and looking forward to learning new things about food/nutrition and how to become healthy. I am trying to eat healthy but I have no idea how to have a balance diet. Is there a page on this website that tells you how much of a nutrient you need a day and what you can eat to fulfill that, if not does anyone know of a website that does?

Hey there I am new to this site aswell, just joined yesterday. The nutrition guide that smwhipple had posted on her reply is great. It gives you all the nutrition breakdown in pretty much every food and beverage you can think off.

 You also need to take your lifestyle into consideration though when it comes to proper nutrition.

For example, If you are a person who is very active and works out on a daily basis, your body will need to have a lot more protein,(1 gram of protein per pound of body weight). If you are a person who does not have an active lifestyle you can get by on about half that much. So I recommend to just read up on all the information on this site and other sites. You will be amazed of what you can learn about food. Proper nutriton can make a huge difference in your life. So I wish you luck.
