32 year old newbie looking for friends to stay motivated
Hi,
I'm 32 and from New Orleans, I live in Houston now ever since the Hurricane. My family has adapted well here, my husband and I both have awesome new jobs and the kids are happy. We actually had planned to move to Houston in the near future so the hurricane just sped things up. Anyway as far as the weight loss thing, I started at 205 and 5'4, I have been on phentermine(prescribed appetite suppresant) since May and I lost 45 pounds,(was also going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week) however I can't take this stuff forever and it seems to be losing its effect anyway. I went off of it right before the holidays (and slacked on exercise and eating right) and I gained 10 pounds back and I now want to do it the healthy natural way. So I'm currently at 170 and want to get down to 130. The calorie thing says I should eat like 1600 but I think that is way too much, I have been staying between 1250 and 1350 for the most part, is that good? Let me know. If anyone is interested in keeping in touch and motivating each other and sharing ideas, please let me know.

Hey Geri!
Congrats on your current weight loss - that's quite an achievement! Good for you!
I'm also new here. Just saw your note on my other thread. thanks for that!
My Chart for calorie intake says I need 1500. I have been eating around 1200-1300 also. With all the fruits and vegi's - I haven't been able to stomach much more. But on days I work out really hard I have been eating 1400-1500 calories.
Welcome to CC! You will find tons of support and motivation to help you here! Congrats again for your loss and your commitment!
