At what age do men start to lose their "umph" ?

*just curious, with the demographic on this site, i thought some would know*

My husband is 10 years older than me. And he is  OMG GREAT in bed. Thank god aunt flow left now i can ummmm well do it again! lol. But I cant say that younger are not good as I have never once in my life had sex with someone younger. I always have enjoyed older men. Now I want hubby to come home for lunch..........yeah thats it...........just lunch. grins

I would take skill over stamina any day.

it depends.  in my case, he was 13 yrs older (when we broke up--not over THIS--he was 37, me 24) and he aws great, and could go for a while, but only once a day.  that was the catch.  and being younger, or a horn-dog, i wanted more.  because he really WAS good at it.  but it doesn't have to do with age: it has to do with the willingness to try new things to please your partner.  no matter how old he is, no matter how many ppl he's slept with, if all he's doing it for is himself, it's nhot going to be great.  trust me...

I actually read an article about this once. Because of the surge of testosterone in the late adolescent years, men hit their sexual peak somewhere around 25 and apparently the testosterone starts to ebb around 29ish. That's not to say men aren't good at sex past thirty! Just there's a bit less stamina in most cases. Women hit their sexual peak at 36 or somewhere around there.

There's a trade off, though. Young may mean stamina, but it doesn't necessarily mean skill. And older men may have less stamina, but they also know a bit more. ;P

it's not a question of testosterone and viagra isn't a solution, because wood is not enough.  it's a question of skill + effort (and lazy is ageless).

i would say men aren't ANY good until they're in their 30s

it's only after men peak physically that it occurs to them that the woman might want to enjoy the experience too, so they turn their attention to finding out how to please her rather than assuming that she just wants to be the pavement to his jackhammer

generalizing, yes, nomo, but it's a damn good generalization.  the one and only time i've been with someone significantly younger (21 to my 26, i think), he had no interest in learning how to please me.

You would think a man in his 40's (if he is in decent shape) would be great in bed. They would be more experienced unless they are Steve Carell in that movie (:P) know what turns most women on ,know where to touch, etc. and mostly be more patient and take their time unlike a horny 16 year old man that is just "wham bam thank you mam!"

Also, some of my young friends complain that their young guy lovers are just not that into it.  Some guys aren't.

On the other had, some guys are born to luv the wimins and will be chasing nurses around the nursing home. 

I think its more about the individual, rather than age.

Its all about finding a guy who luvs to luv the ladies.

I just wanna give a shout-out to the younger guys who are willing to be trained. In my experience they are the best.

When a guy starts thinking he is good in bed, that's when he gets bad in bed. What works for one woman won't necessarily work for another. You have to keep an open mind and alter your habits to please.

I am a habitual cherry chaser, I admit. Have been in a monogamous relationship for a long time now, though, so perhaps time has altered the memories...
