Olive Garden dressings

Quote  |  Reply

OK, help me out here. I am researching my menu options for tomorrow night's Olive Garden dinner (and all those dinners thereafter, as we really like this place!) It says "Olive Garden dressing" is 90 calories per 2 Tbsp. That is the same as 2 ounces, correct? Yet the "Low Fat Italian dressing" they list, per ounce, is 37 calories. So 74 calories for 2 Tbsp? I like the dressing that comes with the salad, but will get low fat if need be. But the math doesn't seem to add up. Here's the link I was checking out ...

http://www.thedailyplate.com/nutrition/search .php?q=&b=Olive%20Garden

and here is the official Olive Garden link ...

Am I missing something here?

I know how to eat healthy, I just have a major problem with portion control. So my New Year's resolution is to really pay attention to what is going in!

Thanks for any help you all can provide!

Hello! I was just looking up the calories in the salad dressing yesterday, because I too am planning an Olive Garden dinner soon! anyways..when i searched CC under foods for olive garden low fat italian salad dressing it says 37 calories for 2 tbsp. which is the same as 1 ounce. (2 tbsp=1 ounce) so the other one is 94 for for 1 ounce, not 2. But they give you a 2 ounce portion of dressing if you ask for it on the side, so you will have to double the calories if you use the full 2 ounces. Plus if it helps, I have had the low fat italian dressing there before, and i really liked it. I could not even tell the difference between the low fat and the regular. Hope I helped! enjoy your olive garden!!!

Thanks, Sarah! I'll just get the lowfat one and try it too. Much appreciated. And thanks for doing the math for me .... guess I had a brain fart, duh! 8 oz in a cup, 16 T in a cup, DUH! Long year .... not just a long day!
