Olive Oil or Corn Oil
Which is better to saute/cook with. We use a lot of Olive oil but was looking at the corn oil and it doesn't seem that bad. Thoughts???

Olive oil is better, but Corn oil is fine. Corn oil is also cheaper.
I personally would never pick corn oil over olive oil. But then, I'm one of those annoying people that worries about GMOs, so I try to limit my exposure (not that it's really all that possible, lately.) :)
Corn scares the hibbie-gibbies out of me! It's sneaky how much of it is crammed into almost everything, especially how much corn syrup is used to make things sickly sweet. ICK! Google for some of the articles by Michael Pollan if you want to learn more. I try to seriously limit the amount of corn in my diet.
Olive Oil is a good - but I prefer Walnut Oil for everyday cooking, it is a super healthy choice and some "experts" say better for you than Olive Oil. Whatever you choose, do what is right for you!

I prefer corn oil. BTW, it has more omega-6 than olive.
corn oil does have more omega 6.... omega 6 being the kind that most people get too much of...
omega 3s are the ones that most people don't get enough of
I usually choose olive oil or canola oil, but really prefer olive oil.
I do use walnut oil and sesame oil in dressings sometimes - very nice flavor and healthy too!
:)
I used to use corn oil because it was cheaper, but I switched back to extra-virgin olive oil because it tastes better.

Most people, yes. But I used to get only about 20% of the recommended 12g (I wasn't using any oil at all).
I eat flax seed cookies for omega-3, 2 of them provide enough omega-3, and make a great sweet snack for 80 kcal each. :) Flax seed and canola oils are great sources of omega-3.
evoo. . .it gives food flavor!!!
After looking and reading what pokedoll posted, I think I'll pass on using Corn Oil and stick to my Olive Oil!
Thanks for the help!!!
