OMG!!!! It's actually coming off!!!!
Oh my God!!! I cannot believe that the weight is coming off. I've been on this diet, thanks tons to this website, for three weeks, and I already have lost 7 pounds. And I feel great!! I have drastically changed my eating habits. I never used to eat fruit; vegatables...only at dinner time, and most of the time they were canned or frozen. I now eat fruit at least twice a day for a snack and/or breakfast. I eat raw and steamed vegatables. If I want to snack on something sweet, I eat either roasted almonds (great fiber) or I eat one pack of a 100 calorie snack.
My motivation? I am a volunteer firefighter and because of the excessive weight (.4 over the line to obesity) I started to have shortness of breath and trouble bending over because of the keg I was carrying. I am only 50 years old and too young to be giving up my helmet. The fire service is my life, and I am going to do whatever it takes to stay active in the fire service for as long as I can. This keeps me eating right and keeps me exercising at least 4-5 days a week.
I plan on keeping this up for the rest of my life. It has become more and more easy as time goes on. Eating right is not as hard as I thought it was going to be.
Thanx CalorieCount.com!!!!
Woot Woot - you go spfspark! Keep up the good work!
Well done, that's fantastic! Keep it up :)
Well done! You've done the hardest bit - started off and done it with a good healthy approach that you'll be able to maintain. V impressed!!
GREAT JOB!! Keep it up!! You're on the right track. Also, I want to thank you for the service you do as a fire fighter!!
When you're a volunteer firefighter, you must know you can do anything you set your mind too... Well done.
Isn't it a great feeling? I'm so glad you're seeing progress!! :) Now...just imagine what it's going to be like 3 or 4 months down the road...
Makes that salad and broccoli taste pretty darned sweet!
Congrats!!
Great job! Isn't it a relief to know you can see this through? That this is your new lifestyle? I know that's how I feel-relief.
Good job! I bet it feels sooo empowering! Keep the motivation up =D
Boy did I mess up last night. Went to go visit with my wife's maid of honor from our wedding and her husband. Haven't seen thim in almost 15 years. We had a great time...but I ate things that I shouldn't have. I had three pieces of pizza, along with 2 cocktails. I did use Diet Coke in my drink vs the great tasting regular Coke. But when I got home, I stept on my scale before I got into bed, like I usually do, and found that I went UP 2 pounds. I was very discouraged. But I had such a good time. And...OMG did that pizza taste good!!!!!!!!
I'm getting back on track today. Gonna watch what I eat today and definately get down to the station to work out tonight. Maybe I can get that two pounds, and then some, off again.
UGH!!!!!
Lol I doubt three pieces of pizza and two Diet Coke cocktails caused you to gain two pounds- each pound is 3500 calories if I recall correctly. It's probably just temporary from the sodium/water weight. Good luck =]

No worries. It's a learning process and we're human. Treat yourself from time to time. Just be mindful and/or work off your excess calories. As long as you continue to get up when you fall...you're going to do just fine. I love your motivation and your enthusiasm. Just remember it's a journey and not a race.
Good times are going to happen and it's good that you recognized that you can no longer eat like that regularly....pick yourself up and move on, the night is over and we all have our moments. Congrats on what you have lost and thank you for your service as a volunteer. That being said, I am 5 months into this process myself and I have lost 37lbs.....feels crazy everytime I say it (or type it)....I'm THAT person who has lost 37lbs. What a great feeling! And with yoru motivation, you will be there next! Good luck on your journey, I know you can do it!
