OMG! I love peanuts! But...

I heard that your not supposed to eat peanuts or any type of nut before you practice or before you workout because it'll lower your energy or something because of all of the fat that is in it.

But i love peanuts so much and that is pretty much all i have in the house so, what do you think of this theory? Should i eat my peanuts or shouldn't i?

I'd have thought eating a few nuts before a workout is fine.  Low bulk, high energy.  Better than having something bulky to eat. 

having a handful of peanuts and some fruit after a workout is great for you - it helps your body recuperate and refuels you. eat 'em up, girl!

Sounds like a myth to me...

Enjoy the peanuts and don't over-analyze too much.

I love peanuts too.  I can not stop eating them.  I also love exercise (mostly weights).  I will not sacrifice one love for the other, they will just have to coexist in my life.  I thought I was the only one...............thanks.

You shouldn't rely on peanuts to be the only food you eat before you work out.
