lol do you know how much other amounts of food u could of had instead of that bowl of icecream?
Well... granola is good for you...
Yeah, you could. O ryou could healthfy it and treat yourself once a week (allocateing cals of course)
Find a reduced fat ice-cream. Not full no fat. Reduced fat moreso for health, than cals if you really want. Also try frozen banana blended (with a bit of milk or water) and go 1/2 1/2 with ice-cream, 1/2 with banana. Lots less cals and acutally good for you (and tastes AWSOME)
Find a low-fat granola. Basically one cooked with apple juice., not butter. They still taste awsome. Or make your own - heaps of recipies. Also, add some blueberries (frozen) or any berry really for a health kick and low cal. The more low cal food you eat, the less high fat, high cal you will eat.
Maybe dark choc chips instead. More fat, but at least you're cocoaing it up.
Caramel icing - america has heaps of reduced fat versions, try one of those. Maybe no-fat condensed milk, cooked on a stove until it browns.
Still high cal, maybe a bit lower, but also less fat = better health.
Sometimes we have to treat ourselves, but if I can make it a lot healthier without sacrificing taste (or much taste) even if its still higher cals, its ok. I can burn it off some other time.
Sure you coudl have eaten the same amount of cals in lettuce or highly manufactured processed "diet" products, but this was your treat :)

An occasional treat isn't going to hurt your progress. I'm finding that if I have a strong craving it's because I'm not getting something I need. I might do as you did, but more likely it would have been just a spoonful after breakfast rather than an entire breakfast sundae.
Cravings are interesting. The last time I had a craving for something fried, I went back over my food logs and noticed that my fat percentage had been unusually low for over a week. I added olive oil to my salad dressing and worked a handful of almonds into my daily allowance and the craving went away.

I have a similar once-in-a-blue moon craving killer. It involves peanut butter, vanilla, icing sugar and chocolate... and various other ingrediants I can find...all melted together. Sinfully high calorie. But a very small amount will kill a powerful craving.
Enjoy your treat. Itend to stay away from the low fat processed foods, so I applaud the fact that you are eating real food.
That said, make sure that you eat properly for the rest of the day.
