I began my weight loss track. I weighed (at that weigh in) 255lbs and had a BMI of 42.

Today, I am 79lbs lighter, and my BMI is 29.3 :). I weigh 176.6.

I have gone down from a size 24 to a 13/14 in jeans.

And ALOT of credit goes to YOU GUYS! I don't post alot, but I do read alot and use the tracker. In fact, I went back to what I wrote when I joined this board (in August) and I am (according to the goal I set then) only 11lbs away from my goal weight! And I am already at my size goal :)

But because I can see I can do it, I am going for the gold....100lbs lost and to a size 12. So I have 21lbs to go to get there.

Thank you everyone for helping me this past year. I couldn't have done it without you :)

Calorie counting and exercising.

I went to a doctor a year ago about my bad knees, and was scolded for the amount of weight I was carrying. I gave her all kinds of excuses as to why I couldn't do it, and she basically told me if I want it, I will do it.

So I started slowly with water aerobics and cutting my calories to 1600. Then I worked up to walking and the weight just peeled off. I found that it wasn't worth me exercising to burn off calories, and then replace it with some garbage food, and eventually I didn't want them anymore.

Walking has been the most successful of all exercises.
I am on Weight Watchers where I can eat whatever I want, just in moderation.

I also set small goals for myself. I didn't say "I have 100lbs to lose" but I created little ones like "I want to lose 10lbs by *whatever date*". Most of the time I met that small goal and even more.

I know you can do it. I am here for you! I have been there! :D

You and the people like you are the reason that I keep coming back to this site.  I can "count calories" anywhere but cannot get the support or see the results like I can here.  WAY TO GO!!!!!
