One Year Anniversary - 68 Pounds Down!
Today is my one year anniversary with CC and I have lost a total of 68 pounds! It hasn't always been easy, but I would like to be able to encourage all the new members that it is possible. We can do it!
Oh My Goodness, that's amazing! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats! That awesome!
WooooHoooo!! You look great!
Yeah for you tciherr!!! You really look happy in your picture. It's amazing how fast the time goes by when your having fun, isn't it.
Keep up the great work!
Congratulations! You look great :)
Congratulations! You've done a great job and you look fantastic!
Thanks so much for the nice comments everyone. I am truly excited by my progress. Sometimes it is difficult for me to actually see the loss (sounds crazy, I know). But, I feel great. No more high bp medications. No more size 18 pants! I just never want to go back to where I was. I appreciate all the love and support you have been sending my way!
Congratulations! You look wonderful! I'm at ~48 pounds lost and am trying to lose the last 20, but have been fluctuating like crazy the last couple of weeks. I'm long out of the size 18 pants myself and I'm in 10's now (my fat jeans are size 12). Next goal is size 8. Hope I get there soon! Again congrats and well done!
Way to go!! I just looked at my weight loss and it's been a year for me also and guess what - 68 pounds for me also!! Yay us!! Still in my "before" stage though. Can't wait to get to the "after"!!! Great job! and congrats on ditching the medications!!
Congratulations! I hope you're very proud of yourself! That's inspiring to us all.
Wow, Congrats to you and the others poster(s) who have done so well.
And, yes, you are beautiful!

tciherr, First of all Great job! I see how hard it is for some many if not all people to lose weight and keep it off! But you did it. I see so many people in the gym that come in day after day and that do not lose weight let alone lose it to just gain it if not more back. So my question for you is: How are you doing it? I have 5-8 lbs to lose and I have been at it since May of 2007. Why am I not doing it? I have been really good trying to lose it this time, but need to know why I will lose it and gain it right back. What is your secret? I want to lose the weight by June 26, 2009. Thanks!
Thanks for the nice words jbartl. I was able to lose most of the weight within the first eight months. I guess because I had so much to lose. The last few months have been very slow going. I am currently at 158 and my goal is 154. I think I've lost 6-8 pounds in the last three months.
I'm sure you have already heard the "eat a little less, move a little more" speel. I have actually traded my bad habit of stress eating to a better habit of stress running. I run three miles everyday and keep my calorie intake to less than 1,500. Once in awhile I will eat maintenance for two days in a row. It seems to be working.
My ultimate goal is to reach 154 (and a healthy bmi) by my 15 year wedding anniversary in July. Some people may think that 154 is still pretty high, but it feels good to me. My sw was 226 and anything is better than that. I wish you the best of luck with the last 5-8 pounds!
Oh my gosh, thats awesome! I aspire to lose 68 pounds by the time its been a year since I've been losing weight.
Do you have before or after pics? ![]()
