Does any one Else live where they celebrate Jackson/Lee day (it is today)

After a careful review of the vast buffet of snark this question presents me with, I will refuse, and walk to the salad bar of "no."

Go ahead and snark. I love snark! Won't offend me in the least. I moved down here 4 years ago from New Jersey.  Prior to that I lived in Texas.  Never heard of this "holiday"  It used to be combined with Martin Luther King day, but some groups raised a fuss and it had to be seperated.  it is a state holiday.  I guess when you live in the "seat of the confederacy" it is to be expected.
