Hello, I am a new member and have just been on for 3 day.  Both yesterday and today I had viruses detected on my laptop.  Is anyone else having a problem?

Nope. I've been around since 2007 and never had such problems.

If concerned about viruses recommend using Trend Housecall unless your antivirus is already updated.

Trend Micro HouseCall™ v6.5 is an online application that scans, detects and cleans your computer of possible infection by viruses, spyware, or other malware.      http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

I don't know if it's a virus, or what, but for the past three days, or so, my computer very often freezes and I have to re-boot when I'm in the website, or I'll get totally kicked out of either Internet Explorer or Firefox (I use both).  I never had this problem before three days ago, and it only happens when I'm in this website.  I LOVE CC, but it gets very frustrating to have to keeping re-boot.

Thanks a lot, itcomputerguy.  I did as you suggested, and so far, so good.  I've been back in the website for about 15 mins and screen hasn't frozen.  I do have Norton, but perhaps something snuck in somehow.  Thanks, again!!!!!  Laughing

Did you download the C-C Toolbar?, if you did it will show up as a trojan on your computer.  Let me see if I remember how to do this.
Open Tools,
go to Internet Options,
click on Security
click trusted sites
click on sites
Put in the C-C.com URL
Click ADD.

If you are still getting the message, run a malware program and just delete the files yourself.

I'm going insane here, itcomputerguy.  Evidently, today I've encountered Advanced Virus Remover.  Did a little research and it's a scareware program.  I'm getting little warning screens at the bottom of my screen every few seconds.  Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?  I don't want to try download a phony cure that will be just as bad as AVR.  Thanks for whatever advice you may have.
