Weight Loss

...is that your clothes are suddenly too big! I bought a bunch of nice new work clothes not too long ago, but before I started losing weight. Luckily I can pretty much always wear the same shirts because my size on top fluctuates less, but my pants have been falling off of me all week! It's definitely nice to notice the difference, but it's annoying that I will probably have to buy new pants!

That happend to me too hon, when i went down to 135 from 167 my pants were way too big but you know what it felt good going out and buying new clothes for your new body.
Me, too. I have gone from 284 to 222 (so far!) and a size 26 to an 18 or 16 pants and skirts (L or XL in shirts). I have 3 pairs of pants and one skirt that I'm rotating like crazy with a few new shirts until I get to my goal weight or the last few things fall off! :D I'm too poor not to! LOL
Now that is a HASSLE that I would love to have ...my weight seems to be stuck . At least I haven't been gaining.
I know it will feel good, but I guess it's just especially frustrating because I don't really need to lose that much weight to begin with. So it's like having to buy clothes one size smaller. At least I have some older jeans that I'm fitting back into now. :)
You know it probably wouldn't be that much to have some of those pants taken in a bit. If your still losing weight, you don't want go buy more clothes. Congrats!! I hope I have to making a trip to the seamstress soon!
rdlm1000 - I'd actually thought of that. My only fear is that at some point in the future I'll gain the weight back and regret taking the pants in. I guess I shouldn't count on gaining it back though...I suppose if I get where I want to be and I feel pretty good about maintaining it, I'll think about doing that.
I think you could leave the fabric so it could be let back out. That's what they do with men's suits and dress pants. Besides, your not going to gain the weight back!
I would be worried that holding onto "fat clothes" would be like giving myself permission to put all that weight back on, and I don't wanna do that. So as soon as old clothes get baggy I take them out of my closet and make plans to sell or give them away as soon as possible, just to get them out of here!
Ive spent about 300 on new clothes the past month.. Im now shopping @ second hand stores, I can't afford it!
I shop at the local thrift store because I can get a pair of jeans for $5 or less. This helps when you have a lot of weight to lose and you are going down pants sizes once a month or every other month. I went from a 22 pants size to in beween a 18 and 16 now. I have bought most of my clothes at the thrift shop until I reach my goal weight. Then I plan on going on a shopping spree to get all new clothes to show off my new body :).
When I started my new job last Dec I bought two pairs of black trousers that were a lovely fit, nice and snug, looked great. Then they started getting loose. I'm saving up for a trip so TRYING to not buy clothes until just before I leave, but I decided I needed another new pair of work pants, for those days when I go out after work and don't want to look like a complete nong. New work pants were a size smaller and a wee bit tight, but the next size up was enormous!
Now, the new pants are glorious and wonderful and I love them - getting a little loose, but not worryingly so. And then, today, I spilled milk on them five minutes before leaving. So I had to drag out one of the old ones again. I put them on. I stood up. They slipped down a good three inches. They were suddenly so low-rise they were obscene. I turned the house upside down looking for a belt. Gah!
