One more reason NOT to vote for Hillary

Not that it would ever reach the main stream media. They have all ready paid their price for her, and are going to protect getting her into office. For those who can't see youtube because you're at work, here is a synopsis:

Bill Clinton Campaign Chairman and Hillary Clinton '08 Advisor Mickey Kantor tells George Stephanapoulos and James Carville: "Look at Indiana...it doesn't matter if we win. Those people are ****! How would you like to be a worthless white n!66er?"

*considers* It'd be more damning if it were Clinton herself, but...

I don't really need any more reasons to not vote Hillary.

hmmm...listened at top volume - possible mis-translation -

it is from the movie "The War Room" - during Clinton's 92 campaign. will have to watch it again.
Eh.  I don't really like blaming politicians for the stupid **** their underlings say.  It's just a part of having a couple thousand zealots on your payroll ... gotta let them off the leash sometimes, and hope they behave.
They're representative of Clinton though.

And agreed... I have enough reasons to not vote for her.
I'm 100% behind Obama ... but I'll still vote Hillary if she gets the nomination.

McCain is scary as f**k.
I listened at top volume too... I think the captions are right.

Fisrt off - there is nothing to say this is recent!  Second he said they are sh@ting - not sh@t.  Big difference.  As for the n%$$er, I could not come close to making out what he is saying.  People - if you believe everything you see or think you hear on the internet then we are doomed because ALL the candidates are equally scary!

The nice thing about being in Indiana for this campaign is that for the first time in a long time our votes aren't worthless.
I'm with lysistrata on this one.
because ALL the candidates are equally scary

hahaha. I disagree.
born2b: the clip is from the movie "The War Room" -  a documentary made in '92 covering the first Clinton campaign.

This man is her advisor and on her payroll.

People need to hear this WAY more than they need to keep playing Rev. White's "America is racist" rant.

And it doesn't matter how old it is. He said Hoosiers are "****" and asked if his cohort would like to a a white "n!66er". It's offensive. Lots of white people have lost their jobs for saying the "N" word. If we are going to keep censoring people, this man should also lose his job.

I wouldn't vote for her anyway, but even if I was on the fence this video wouldn't influence me one way or the other.

we are doomed because ALL the candidates are equally scary!

Mike Gravel has a soul. I agree, the mainstream candidates are scary. But there are other choices.

I think something that needs to be addressed is the main stream media:

I was watching tv the other day and I was flipping between news channels. One channel was going on about Barack, and I thought "Maybe I should vote for him" and then the next was goign on about Hillary  and I thought "Oh, she's not that bad, maybe I'll vote for her." And then Fox was praising McCain and the thought actually crossed my mind that he's the best candidate for America! I felt like I was being brainwashed!

Then I went and refreshed my memory about how terrible all three are, and was much much better.

And McCain himself (not an advisor to McCain, or someone on his payroll, but the man himself), has said "I'll always hate the gooks."  If you want to talk about offensive remarks, I think that's just as bad.

Again, I am behind Obama 100%, and have been for years (since he became one of my senators).  But if he doesn't get the nomination, I will vote Hillary, regardless of what someone on her payroll said 16 years ago.

I don't think someone should be fired for something they said 16 years ago.

i sure wouldn't want to be judged on something i said 16 years ago, let alone something that someone who worked for/with me said.

I think they are too, but, IMO, it's not another reason to not vote for Hillary.  It's reason to acknowledge, that like every other politician on the planet, they have people on their staff that say stupid things.  If they fired every staff member for everything they said that is stupid or backwards, they would have a very small, or non-existant, staff.

I can't really give the guy any credit for intelligence though - how could he not know that he was being filmed, and that it would be bound to resurface someday?

Unless Kantor was held prisoner and tortured by hoosiers, I don't think the statements can be interpreted in the same context.

Regardless of whether or not he was in a prison for 3 days before capitulating, the term "gook" is unacceptable.  Period.
