allowance: 1400 (at sedentary)

& i burn about 500 everyday at the gym

so, ow many actual calories should i be consuming? Thanks!!

You need to eat back at least 300 of the calories you burned

1400
-500
-------
  900 (below the minimum of 1200)
+300
-------
 1200 (the very minimum you should consume)
Therefore your bare minimum is 1700 calories a day (1400 + 300)
thanks so much moonfairy! this could explain the lack of weight loss then huh? dang!
i had the same problem at first i didn't eat back the calories and then i actually put on two pounds and plateaued.  Once i started eating them back the weight started to drop again.  very frustrating
