Has any one noticed this or am I crazy?
Two weeks before I start my period I want to eat every thing thats not moving .. And then I start getting bloated and I start getting worried about my weight and I start deiting. And then all of a sudden I have a day where I pee and pee ... I cant seem to pass a bathroom with out stopping... Then I have a day where I feel like I have lost weight... And then I start my period and I just don't care any more about losing weight... And it starts all over again...Is it me or dose any one have this happen to them
I do notice that I have an increased appetite and Im bloated/have water weight gain before my TOTM but I do not have as many things happen to me as you do. Sorry!
I totally know what you are talking about! It drives me absolutely crazy too. I have serious fat days about a week before my time and then near the end of my cycle and the week after, I feel like a million bucks again and all the diet and exercise goes down the drain. I not only feel bloated during my cycle and a few days before, but I feel "puffy". I feel like my face even looks fatter.... does that happen to you? I honestly think that it has to do with water weight gain before you get your cycle and then after the water weight leaves and you feel skinny again. I used to take diuretics to control the water weight gain and it helped, but I do not take them any longer (my hubby tells me know more "diet pills")....
I am definitely open to more suggestions on how to control this monthly feeling.
happens to me too! i get really bloated when i'm ovulating and crave junk food like crazy during that time. but then the week before my actual period comes i feel amazing.. like i have tons of energy and feel like working out 24/7. then the days OF my period i feel puffy again and barely feel like eating or doing anything. i just lay in bed all day hahaha. then after my period is gone, i pee like crazy and feel super again! i guess it's normal.

double post, sorry.
I get the same thing, but it is easier if I eat more protein on my "fat" week. It cuts down on the cravings. If you drink lots of water and cut down on the salt sometimes that helps the bloating too. Hope you find what works for you.
I do not know your age but I would say you are in your late 30's or 40's. That's hormones for you. And water retention attached to the fluctuations of your hormonal cycle. Normal. And tricky. Because the loss of weight you experience at the very end/beginning of the cycle is not a real loss, because no fat is involved and it will come back as the cycle progresses. And also because you tend to eat "everything that doesn't move" especially what is sweet, and THAT contributes to a gain in fat that is not really taken care of... You have to learn now to control your urges, because soon, when menopause hits, you won't have that exhilarating feeling again, nor the flushing out of fluid, AND your metabolism will slow down and make it much harder for you to lose weight... Been there...
You are definitely not crazy, or alone!!!
It's really normal! I bloat when I'm having my period. My bladder will feel as though it's always bursting. Cut down on salt and drink plenty of water to fight the water retention. :) I know it feels very annoying but a lot of us girls experience this!
