ANYONE ?

move this to the fitness forum

I normally do speed intervals on the tread 3.5/5.5 for 30 minutes and burn about 300 cals roughly. Then I move to the Elliiptical for 30 minutes to burn another 400.

This is an intense workout I've used in the past when dieting down for a bodybuilding show...

Your sets and reps will looks something like this...

1X 5 10 20 30 40 30 20 10 5 for each lift

Obviously you will need to balance your weight used with the reps performed.

It's an amazing pyramid set that will work both fast and slow twitch muscle fibers.

If you get any other questions or need help with anything else. Please write!

P.S.

Make sure you have someone to spot you towards the end of each set, as you will most likely hit muscle failure.

I'd go on the elliptical for 30 mins then treadmill for 20 minutes then do strength training for 20 minutes for around 700 calories but it all varies by your speed, weight, height, reps etc. for for ME that's waht I would do for 700 calories.

It's difficult for anyone to provide you with such a plan since as the last poster stated, calorie burn is at a different rate for different bodies.  That said, running or walking, 7 miles, will burn *about* 700 calories.  A general rule of thumb is 100 calories per mile (doesn't matter if you run or walk it, just don't crawl. Wink)

Purchase a heart rate monitor that measures calories burned (it's not exact, but it's about as good as you'll get) and wear that while you work out, and you'll get an idea of what it takes to burn 700 calories.
