Does any one here use enzymes?

What have you used and what have the results been?

At one time I was taking papya enzyme tablets.

They tasted good.  But I didn't notice any difference in my digestion or anything.  So as far as I know, they could have been just sugar pills.

I've also taken a heavy duty digestive enzyme tablet (name escapes me at the moment) prescribed to me by an integrative medicine doctor.  She thought my stomach might not be producing adequate acid for proper digestion and nutrient extraction.  But I was borderline on that.  I got slight heartburn after taking them, so she told me to discontinue them.  That was a signal that I was producing sufficient acid.
