Getting one Wisdom Tooth removed tomorrow. Super nervous.

Hi there-

Just needed to vent. Getting my upper left wisdom tooth out tomorrow at 1pm.

Super nervous. Even though I have no reason to. I dont really have a big fear of the needle (just had it at the beginning of the month, two actually for three cavities that I had filled- had a 5 min panic attack after I got them, but was fine and relaxed once I felt that it didnt hurt)

I am taking some Adivan/Lorazepan to calm my nerves before, then getting a needle for freezing and off we go! I think I should be fine b/c Ativan is taking care of my nauseas nervous feeling, the needle takes pain, and my iPod drowns out the sounds a bit. Only a 30 min appt.....

I keep reading online how easy a top tooth removal is, sometimes the tooth has come out in a matter of minutes.

I wish I had a dentist friend that could reassure me right now. I just hate this nervous feeling- I won't sleep well, or eat well tomorrow morning (although I will try to)

March has been the month of appointments for me, Dentist x2, doctor, gyno....

Hi All-

I survived. Ativan didn't do much beforehand, but where i would have normally had a panic attack, it totally helped that. So i was happy.

Took 4 needles to freeze me, and took about 5 mins to get the tooth out. He struggled a little bit as one of my roots was a bit bent....

All in all, I hated every minute of it, but I survived. Now im just sore and will be taking some T3s

I had mine out when I was 18. It was a blast! (Apparently the doctor gave me too much of whatever he was anesthizing me with, according to my Mom).
