Day 6 of ongoing binge-HELP!!

It started on Sunday and it has not gone away. I am just non-stop hungry. Not the kind of hungry when your stomache hurts, but the kind where it feels like it's lunchtime and you are ready to eat. I am eating fairly healthy (lots of protein) but way too much. So far today I am at 1850 cals. I am going to workout so I still have a protein shake left to go (200 cals). I just can't stop! I'm not sure what the cause of this is but I could use some help. Will this go away? BTW- it's not PMS, I don't get that TOM anymore. I am also gaining some noticeable weight. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, you said, "any help" so keep in mind I could be totally off base.  You say you are, "eating fairly healthy" which indicates perhaps a few more carbs than you'd otherwise care to eat.  And as you know, the more carbs you eat, the more you want.  I'm sure more than one reason is involved in this non-stop hunger, but that's what I'd consider first.  Cut the carbs.

As an experiment you could eat only tuna fish out of the can for two weeks.  lol, just kidding!  After two weeks of tuna fish you'd be bonkers, sure, but you probably wouldn't be hungy.  OK, it's a joke - but I'd consider how carbs are fitting into what you eat.  Good luck!

 

That's exactly it! The carbs have totally taken hold of me! I usually keep it pretty low. Last week was my birthday and I over-dosed on cake...I'm pretty sure that's where it all began. It's hard to keep them as low as I like because I eat a ton of vegetables but I will try it out. Don't know if I could handle the tuna thing though...Thanks for responding.
