Have only been adding calories...does it matter
Hi There
I sometimes use CC to find out how many calories i have had, but mainly i work it out myself and just add it on, but i have not been adding the grams, fats, etc..... How important is it to do?? I'm loosing weight with just watching my Calories so i dont think i'm having too many fats, but should i still be making an effort to calculate them???
On the Anaylsis page it has given me a A- but i'm not sure if that is only because i have only added in calories so it doesn't think i've eaten fats etc......
Any Help??

you need fats, so restricting your fat intake wouldn't be advisable or warrant an A grade. if you're eating a balanced diet you don't need to worry about the grams of fat/protein/carbs. make sure to get plenty of healthy fats like nuts, avocados, fatty fish, olives, olive oil, canola oil, and seeds. of course whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables. try to get all 3 macronutrients in each meal/snack with vegetables making up 1/2 of your plate, carbs 1/4, and protein 1/4.

So you can keep track of what you eat - which enables you to analyze your foods and receive the following:
- Health Score of your overall diet
- Warning when you approach your daily calorie limit
- Overview of the good and bad nutrients
