Who here only has to lose 10 or even 5 more pounds? Whats your strategy for doing so? I’m having the hardest time with the 5 pounds im trying to lose from a 20 pound loss (meaning I lost 20 bout 2 yrs ago and put 5 back on this year ). I’m aiming for 1650 calories a day healthy food and I workout 5 days a week : ½ weights and then ½ cardio in the form of walking. At 120 pounds but have the dreaded muffin top, poofy tummy, and my arms are definitely bigger than they were this time last yr. Been at it for a month and yes I will admit I had a few slip ups of binging but it was all healthy food (i dont know what it is but like 3-4 days into my plan i end up getting extremely hungry at night and end up eating more). I guess im just really frustrated that since im already in the healthy weight range my body is gonna work against me on this. anyone have success stories to motivate me?
No success story here, but I'm in essentially the same boat. I'll be curious what others have to say.
I'm only looking to lose 5-10 pounds, but until I get home from exchange (I'm in Japan) I'm just trying to maintain. It's almost impossible to eat healthy here. Believe it or not, modern Japanese food is incredibly bad for you. The population stays skinny by severely limiting their food intake. Quite sad really.
Good luck, and keep at it! I think that for those of us who are already at a healthy BMI, we should focus more on toning up as opposed to a certain weight goal. I think that will lead to more satisfying results in the end.
I have about 10 pounds to lose and would like to do so in ~2 months.
I am very active (competitive swimmer) so I have to make sure I am eating well but am having a deficit. I am still trying to figure out how many calories I need to be eating a day to maintain optimal performance while still losing, so hopefully I'll find the right balance for my body soon.
My diet includes a lot of fruit and vegetables and I've recently been trying to keep close tabs on my protein and carbs to make sure I am getting enough (I wasn't getting what I should have been for how much I was swimming, so now I am being more careful).
I want to lose 5 lbs for sure and would feel better with 8-9 lbs. I had achieved my goals and kept it off for 1 year from Sept 2007 - Sept 2008 but since Sept 2008 I have gained 10-12 lbs. I need serious motivation too, I have lost all self-control and just want to eat all the time.
I am thinking to up my exercise this way I can still eat nice things but hopefully won't gain and maybe will even lose - certainly I would look better being fitter!
I have 8-10 to lose, although lately I've been making very noticable progress without seeing a decrease in scale weight. My diet is enabling me to gain muscle and lose fat (Not at the same time, mind you. I gain muscle on my lifting/high carb days and lose fat on my normal low carb days). Also have seen a steady decrease in measurements (Waist is -1.25" since last month).
What I'm doing is basically similar to carb cycling, although sometimes it ends up as more of a ketosis diet with twice weekly refeed days. I lift, do HIIT, and cardio.
What is interesterified fat?
Interesterification is a food processing term. It is one of three techniques used to modify fats: hydrogenation (to make trans fat)... Read more
