Just thought I'd throw this out there, since this "USED" to be my FAMOUS LINE.......

Just because your active, and you have muscle, doesn't really mean your "ACTIVE". I have had horses all of my life, shoveled crap, putting up hay, ect.... I always said, " I am an ACTIVE person... I don't know what my problem is"

The problem is... If you don't use your HEART... you'll lose it..  The most important muscle of all... went unused!!! I would love to be "Skinny" and "Pretty" in a size Whatever... but remember... just "dieting" and not getting your HEART MOVING.. is just losing lbs.... yes you will naturally become more active if you lose weight (for most that is) but Stand up for yourself and be the ONLY ONE that can make a difference!

Move... you will LOOK better and more importantly FEEL BETTER!!

This is my rant.... I realized through explanation this wekend, that I used to say I was Active all of the time. I have muscles.... hence I weigh more than I may look... BUT GUESS WHAT.... I dont care the end # on the scale. I want to be HEART HEALTHY!

Great post!

UTR~~ I explained it like this to my hubby when I had lost 35 lbs.... I remember when 35 lbs to me what SO EXCITING!!! I havent forgotten where I started TRUST ME!

But I looked at my hubby (who is thin) and said this, " You know how your out of breath and winded carrying Ryan (our 2 yr old son) from the car up the stairs and into the house?" I have lost our entire son! ( he then weighed 33 lbs) I only WISH I could explain to Each and EVERYONE of you out there... WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES! I have a bounce in my step again.... and guess what.. I still weigh over 250 LBS. Who would have thought! I can see my future.... that is why I can grab ahold, and not let go!

That is a WONDERFUL outlook to have!  :)

UTR~ I in turn had to explain to him that I have been carrying "our son" around on my ass for months..... Imagine that!
For me, personally, shovelling crap really gets my heart rate up.  ;-)  I can't even imagine putting up hay.
lysistrata~~ Im glad it gets your heart rate moving..... I's not saying it didnt make my heart move..... But not for the long period it needs to be exercised to be Healthy! I love being able to do the things I can now... and I cant wait till Im able to do so much more!
