Only a lawyer would ask
no, rice allergies exist. I believe the most east asian countries have the highest rates of rice allergy, so it's a bit strange that they wouldn't list that.
There is definitely such a thing as a rice allergy.

"A rice allergy is a potentially deadly response by a person’s immune system to rice or foods containing rice. After a susceptible person ingests rice, the immune system reacts with the release of histamines and other chemicals that trigger symptoms that can range from mild to life–threatening. While somewhat rare in the United States, rice allergy still affects a small portion of the population."

"Rice allergy is common in countries in Eastern Asia, such as Japan, where rice is commonly eaten, but it isn't common in the UK. People who are allergic to rice can react when they eat it or when they inhale its pollen. Rice can cause hayfever symptoms in areas where it's grown commercially.
People who are allergic to rice can sometimes react to a number of other foods from the same botanical family, such as barley, maize, wheat, oats and rye, as well as other foods such as peach and apple."

I also think its a waste of time to put "Warning: Do not use while sleeping" on hairdryers. The saddest part is...they are there for a REASON!
I've never seen a warning about rice allergies though. Maybe they are rarer.
