I go for fresh veggies when I can - pea pods, jicama, cucumber, peppers, etc.  Sprinkle a bit of lemon juice on them and they're pretty tasty!

Other than that I fill the gaps with Rooibos tea, cup-a-soups (not super healthy, I know) or miso soup - I have an instant type that is only 35 calories!  Speaking of 35 calories - if you live in Canada you probably have access to Source 0% Yogurt - they're little tubs that are 35 calories each.  Make sure you pick up the 35 calorie ones because 100 calorie ones exist, too.

Smart Pop mini-bags are a tasty 100 calorie snack.  If you want zero calorie snacks, you're probably stuck with celery or water.  :)

Here are my favorites:

Sugar free jello or jello pudding (10 calories for jello, 50 for pudding)

pineapple (42 calories per slice)

air popped pop corn (30 calories per cup)

egg whites (15 calories per white)

frozen crystal light lemonade Popsicles (zero calories ... yes, zero)

cherry tomatoes (40 calories per cup)

Water. lmao. doesn't seem like a snack to me ;)

maybe i can close my eyes drinking water and picture a glass of wine???? p.s. I wish being 500 lbs was cool. how awesome would chic parm every night be!!!

I always go for fruit - they're delicious, they please my sweet tooth, and they're low in calories! Some of my favorites:

Peaches - 30-60 calories, depending on size

Strawberries - 2-9 calories in each, depending on size... if I eat enough of these they can fill me up pretty well, and you can go far with medium-sized strawberries!

Bananas - about 100 calories

Pears - About 90-110 calories, depending on size

Pineapple - 80 calories for a cup, diced... OR 30-40 calories per slice

Honeydew melon - 60 calories for a cup, diced... OR about 50 calories per wedge

Cantaloupe - 50 calories for a cup, diced... OR about 20-30 calories per wedge

Basically, fruits are a great snack because they are healthy and low in calories. I prefer to eat a lot of the really low-calorie snacks to help me fill me up (as I mentioned, strawberries are my favorite for this) but you can do anything. To get a good mix, maybe chop up a bunch of different kinds of fruits for a cup or two of fresh fruit salad! I always also make sure fruit is half of or a quarter of my dinner and breakfast.

fresh fruit or veggies

a bowl of salad

canned veggies and fruit in its own juice

smoothies   there ae so many different kinds

 iced tea -hot or iced

water with a sprig of mint

sugar free and fat free fudge bars

sugar free frozen pops

laughing cow cheese with crackers

low fat cottage cheese

yogurt with fruit

cereal-small bowl

string cheese

sugar free fat free Jello cheesecake mix-made with fat free cream cheese and one teaspoon of peanut butter

There are no 0 calorie snacks, unfortunately; if you'd like to lose weight, simply focus on eating better foods (vegetables, lean meats, reduced-fat dairy, whole grains, nuts and vegetable oils, etc). If you're looking for super low calorie snacks, fruits are probably the way to go, and even if you find per se, a snack bar that's 90 calories but can instead eat a large pear (120 calories), go for the pear simply because it's more nutritious and better for your body.

lol 0 calorie snacks.

i found these ice pops that have 10 calories each. try looking for something like that at sam's club; i forgot what they're called. they're actually not bad.

Looking for snacks that do not have any calories also means there would be no nutritional value.  Eating just for the sake of habit is not good.  Food is for fuel, though should still be enjoyed, but no one NEEDS to eat food that has zero value.  However, looking for nutritional snacks that are lower calorie is another thing, so if that is what you meant then I took it the wrong way.  Moderation is key, there isn't a single item out there that you cannot have, just have less of it and less often.
I will also toss my vote in for fresh veggies.  You can eat a heap of fresh veggies and still be nowhere near 100 calories.  If you want something to dip them in, a tablespoon or two of fat-free vinaigrette type dressing is generally very low in calories.  Two tablespoons of hommus is around 50-60 cals, so a handful of fresh veggies dipped into hommus will be around 100 very nutritious calories or less.

I also found a quick, low-cal snack by accident recently.  I was having a late afternoon stomach-rumble at work.  I wasn't in the mood for my Kashi bars, so instead I grabbed six large baby carrots and a small (1/2 ounce/14 gram) box of raisins.  According to C-C's numbers, the entire thing comes to something like 78 calories.  Do you know what?  It was really good!  Raisins and carrots go well together, and it was a nice balance of crunchy and sweet (but not over the top sweet.)  It kept me satisfied until dinnertime.

well i will say, i found something, not food, but still good. I was at the cafe for lunch today with my bland old turkey and wheat sandwich and forgot drink and def tired of water all day. so they had lipton green tea. diet one has no calories and usually after just the sandwich im still hungry (and obv looking forward to my snack of 10 cheezits, sooo good ) but today with that drink, i wasnt hungry. so im going to consider that my "cheat" from now on. I can drink that instead of water, love it. (dont get me wrong, im still gonna have my cheezits when the 2:30 bell rings around, LOL)

Chew on a piece of wood for a few hours?

yeah, but im sure that even still has some....lolLaughing

You can freeze a lot of 0 cal drinks (or really low calories drinks) for ice pops. You can also use a snow cone machine (if you have one) to make an icee from the frozen drinks.

weight watchers has a low calorie recipe for chic par and it is awesome! You can look it up on their website.   sugar free jello and sugar free made with fat free milk pudding is great with fat free whipped topping.  carrot sticks with fat free ranch dressing two tablespoons is a good low calorie snack.

thats some really good advice.

celery!! good source of fiber and you burn them off as you chew them!

  • 2 large celery stalks = 13 calories, 1.2 grams fiber
  • 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce = 18 calories, 1.4 grams fiber
  • 1/2 cucumber = 20 calories, 1 gram fiber
  • 1 medium tomato = 25 calories, 1.3 grams fiber
  • 1/2 cup sugar snap peas = 30 calories, 3.4 grams fiber
  • 1 carrot = 30 calories, 2 grams fiber
  • 1 cup jicama sticks = 45 calories, 6 grams fiber
  • 1 cup winter mix vegetables = 25 calories, 2 grams fiber
  • 1 cup Tuscan-style vegetables = 25 calories, 2 grams fiber
  • 1 cup mixed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots = 25 calories, 2 grams fiber
  • 3/4 cup whole green beans = 25 calories, 2 grams fiber
  • Filter Feed
