and while it's obvious that the last person to post in that thread didn't read the thread at all, it does raise a legitimate point in asking the question, do we tolerate sexism more than racism or other isms?
Because I think we would have deleted a post that asked Are a black person's opinions even worth listening to? even if it was troll bait. But maybe not. I don't know nothin'.

I think our higher tolerance of pseudo-sexist comments stems from the fact that there are so many strong women here, that we know we could take on any male silly enough to start something :)

Well, recognizing that my own exposure is not necessarily connected to "typical", I don't think I'd noticed that sexism is more tolerated than racism. Maybe it is. Perhaps I'm wrong. That's just how I feel.
