howard, you're a little defensive about gender equality and stuff.  i don't really know all about the roots of that, but it's ok.  i attribute it to the fact that you highly value equal treatment and you strongly and sincerely wish that the genders understood each other and that there were less conflict between them

I am a little defensive. I've hung out with too many hardcore feminists who rail against men and I tend to forget that I am not the average bear man. So I get defensive and annoyed.

... but I can't really speak for anyone else besides me and everyone's experiences are still very valid, as unfair as they are.

I do highly value gender equity, that men and women should have the same chances and choices. And, yeah, conflict is bad. Especially when it's conflict based not on people, as individuals, but on societies. Such as men who believe what society tells them women should be and are shocked and angered to find out that they aren't, necessarily.

I was offered a free baby kitteh that looks just like him.  Must convince hubby to let me have him.  He will be my evil kitteh and I will call him Evil Kitteh.  Together we will take over the world...or at least the living room.
