I went to Seattle to visit my boyfriend this weekend, and he made me promise I'd eat like a "normal" person. I am always so good about how much I eat, I count every calorie, and I work out every day. Well, this weekend I ate pretty much the worst I have in a while. Pizza, ice cream, steak and potatoes, cinnamon covered almonds, it was terrible! I came back and hopped on the scale this morning and it said I've gained over 5lbs. Is this just weekend weight that I can shake by Friday? Or am I screwed?

I dont think your screwed! It will probably come off in a couple of days. Dont fret my friend, we all do it. now just be a little extra good and by friday you should be back to normal! Gotta live a little sometimes and you know it was probably soooooo good. Now you got it outta yer system and you can get back in the swing of things!
Pay close attention:
As long as you're breathing, you are never screwed.
I actually just went to Seattle as well and ate more than usual. Ended up just staying the same weight for week due to it, but I think it's coming down now at the pace it was before the trip (we'll see tomorrow morning). Just jump back on the bandwagon (the bandwagon never heads off so fast that you can't). In the long term, it'll just be a blip on a smooth downward trend.
Good luck!

Nah, the most you gained was probably a little less than a pound.
Your metabolism probably got a nice little boost as well.
I find, most of this type of weight falls off within 3 days.
Stick to your "normal" routine, drink plenty of water, and I'm sure you'll see a difference tomorrow morning. =)

I think eating more than normal while on a diet plan messes with our heads more than it does with our weight loss. Remember that it's in the past, and resolve to get back on the wagon. A lot if it is probably water retention from the extra helpings of sodium you consumed.
Its just water retention from all the processed high sodium food you ate. It will be gone in a couple of days.
Do a little math. 5 * 3,500 Cals/lbs fat. Do you honestly think you ate an extra 17,500 Calories over the weekend? Do you know how much food that is? That is 17 burritos. That's like 10 pizzas. Thats like 20 pints of ice cream. I doubt you ate 35 steaks and 50 potatoes.
No, what really happened is that you are retaining a little water and the food you consumed is still passing through your system (its also a bit denser than you usually eat, I suspect). It will drop away like magic in a few days, presuming you go back to eating the way you were before this weekend.

I haven't been to Seattle for a few years but I'm sure its still as hilly as ever. Just walking a few blocks here and there just has to burn ALOT of extra calories!
So I'm sure that whatever your scale is telling you is just some extra water weight which will be gone in a few days.

Just eat lots of fruits and drink tons of water...let your system flush out.
