Oops, Dairy Queen beat me up.
So I have been pretty good for about 25 days so far and someone said today, "Hey lets get some Dairy Queen" So I said, sure why not I have been really good.
So I get a Butterfinger Blizzard and wow did DQ beat me up, I logged it so I could count it for my calories and it was 1,040 CALORIES!! and 125 Grams of Sugar and 38 grams of fat, 23g of Saturated fat!!
What the hell??? This stuff needs to come with a damn warning attached to it. Thats absurd.
Here's to never eating there again!
but did you enjoy it? as long as you enjoyed it and know that this one day won't stray you off the path of healthiness then you totally deserved it.
Yes, avoid Blizzards, but Dairy queen has alot of other good things that arent too bad, especially if its a once in awhile treat.
Their soft serve cones are 150-200 calories for a child/small and even dipped they are 240-300.
I did enjoy it, but made me have a stomach ache afterwards. That seems to happen when I eat bad things. I should stop. lol
Thanks for the advice on the other stuff Justxjess
I LOVE Dairy Queen...but, I only like the choc dipped cones. Thankfully the closest one is about 20 miles away, so it's always a special treat for me...kind of Chic-fil-a
you know Ive found out that although this might be VERY hard, it makes me feel so much better. Last week I got the smallest size of an oreo sundae at baskin robbins and I had about 1/4th of it. it really satified my cravings and wasnt too many calories (200) even though I know its all bad, I'm all good in the craving department ;)
O.M.G. that is ridiculous. that's just wrong... you'd think that something that is packed with so many calories/fat/sugar would be a bucket full of chocolate+syrup+whipped cream+chocolate chips+caramel!!! but a blizzard?!! thanks for the warning
Someone needs to beat up the owner at the DairyQueen Headquarters. Everytime I go in one it seems to take 30 minutes to get my food, even with 25 people working in there. UUGGGG LOL
dude. i know exactly what you mean. it seems like all the dairy queens around here are like that!
Know the feeling, Starbucks serioulsy read my mail yesterday. I was good and got a tall iced non fat caramel machiatto...but then had a slice of pumpkin bread (because I was hungry)....that sucker had over 300 calories!!! UGH!
Im starting to get angry at fast food companies. Take Wendies for example. Their new commercial sais MADE TO ORDER, ALWAYS FRESH, NEVER FROZEN. Great! Im thinking! So a few weeks ago I ordered a kids meal to subdue my crazing for salt and grease. And the burger looked and tasted like it was 4 days old! The fries were cold. The mini diet coke that came with it was the only thing that made me wash down the meal. YUCK! Im staying away from Fast foods for a while. Jack in the Box is still my favorite. They really do make it when you order it. My only downfall is the closest one is exactly 100 miles from my front door. I clocked it once! LOL
*maybe that's a good thing absterry?* try making you're own burgers and maybe saute-ing some potatoes? but i know what you mean... Pizza gets me.
I love dairy queen, but I hate my husband for getting it for me! Make since? I does taste good, but I'm not going to get it. Then my husband will stop there when we are out somewhere, or he'll just bring it home when he's getting off work. It's so much hard to resist when it's sitting in front of your face and bought already. He does this with fast food and junk food all the time, it drives me nutty!!!
I agree Dairyqueen is not the greatest place to go when you're watching what you eat but there are small sized of everything they do and when having a blizzard I tend to get the one with chees cake pieces only and will pick the pieces out and leave about 1/3 or the soft serve.
It's not so bad and come on didn't you all know that ice cream is packed with sugar and fat?? Never was any different.
