I think this is an oops

Bread Pudding Home Made

I was searching for bread pudding and found this one.  It says it serves 30 (yes-30).  I'm not going to make it as I don't have that many spoons!  I didn't post this recipe, only found it during a recipe search.  It does say that there 26.? grams per serving (less than a tablespoon).

Is there some way to delete obvious mistakes like that?

it also doesnt have bread it in?  If the person that submited it is anything like me, the person adds the bread (the cals for it I mean, log it seperate) in afterwards because of certain issues with products not being in the database and whatnot...

I think that every recipe people input is put into the recipe database...so I take the ones I use with a grain of salt...I input mine weird and really hope nobody follows them and would be super pissed if all my weird ones were deleted.

You are correct on the deleting part.  I think I will PM the OP and ask for more information, as it wants to look appetizing.  I'm still baffled about the serving amounts, and the pan size is not listed either.  I got my bread fix by having french toast for dinner, and that made me happy!

Thanks for your comments; I got spanked, but gently. Surprised

Bread pudding doesn't have to be that complicated.  It's just bread of any kind and a custard of 1 egg to each cup and half of milk, poured over each 2 cups of bread cubes or torn bits.  You can use skim milk and any sweetener to taste, add raisins or anything you like.  It doesn't have to be ultra rich.  I make it about once a month to use up bread ends that I keep in the freezer.  My favorite bread to use is whole grain leftover hamburger rolls.

The instructions I use call for letting the bread cubes or torn pieces sit for a couple of hours to dry a little, then pour on the custard and let that sit for a while in the refrigerator, then bake at 350 F for about 40 minutes to an hour, until the top is brown and the custard is set.  I do it in a 9" square baking dish and it makes 9 large servings.

Thanks Claire!  I was just being lazy, hoping to find one that I didn't have to log every single item, and to give me an idea where I might have to lighten up a bit.  I have so whole-wheat dinner rolls to use up, and I'd almost forgotten now that I wanted to make it.  Wink
