Oops - did I do something rude?

So I've used the recipe analyzer a few times, but I never put the directions in b/c I was just using it to quickly calculate calories. Does everyone see that unfinished recipe out there if I saved it? Sorry everyone if that's the case.

I do the same thing - more a convienence factor for me.
Someone may have a better suggestion, but when I enter a recipe, I just add one serving, then tag it.... that way it doesn't go into the archive but I can still use it for myself in the future.  I wish there was an easier way to do that- it seems like you should be able to choose whether you want it added to the archive or not!

I have to agree.  I didn't even think of that and I just posted a request for people not to put "cook" in the directions.  I want to make so many of the recipes I have found and there are no directions!  Now I feel like a whiney boob :-)
Yep, we see it.  Most of those are entered to record them for that one person, to be used to add to their food log.  I agree that there should be a "save to archive" or "save to My Recipes"  or "Save to both" option.

I'm going to suggest it on the Calorie Count Forum.  I'll give a link to this thread, so continue the discussion!
i like that idea, too. most times that i use the recipe calculator, i just "add a serving" because i often change the recipe amounts or ingredients, and usually want to know the calories for this meal only. it's a lot more flexible that way.

but i do like to look at other people's recipes for inspiration, so i'm glad some people save them to archives!
I wish we could just save for personal use - or block them like we can our journals

I save mine but also don't put the directions.  Mine are all pretty lame.  I use the feature only for my convience.  I don't like to try new things so I don't snoop around recipes that are on here.
