Open letter to Comcast
Dear soulless [EDIT DEMANDED PLEASE INSERT WORST INSULT YOU CAN THINK OF] of Comcast:
You know your high speed internet is all that's available in my area so you really don't care when it's down, slow or generally being crappy. You don't care because you know I'll keep paying some stupid amount of money when I have no other choice
I was hoping you'd call me a few more times today, because clearly 5 calls during a four hour period isn't enough. I told you I don't want your crappy phone service last week, the week before that, AND the week before that. I'm hoping with great anticipation you'll call me again in about an hour or so. I miss you.
Finally, thank you for hiring the biggest idiots the US has to offer. If I need a quick pick-me-up, nothing makes me feel better than calling your mouth-breathing customer service reps who insist restarting my router and modem will fix your system outages which you refuse to admit are happening. I think that's my favorite.

I see your Comcast and raise you Hughesnet Satellite. On a bright, clear, sunny day - constant failures to communicate while spitting out the error "Recent weather changes in your area may be affecting your service".
Sadly, the way I "wish" I could use it isn't legal and is also considered socially unacceptible in many places!
Why it is impossible to get decent customer service these days??

I LOATHE cable companies and comcast in particular is horrible. Now I have AT&T and Dish...they're okay...not many problems so don't have to deal with them often.
Dear Comcast,
If the installation truck breaks down an hour before my 4-hour "appointment-window" starts and has no intention of doing any installations that day, please don't let me wait around for 4 hours, then tell me they'll be there in another hour or so when I call, then tell me the same thing in another hour when I call back and the same thing after another hour.
Also, when I call to complain about waiting around the whole day for a truck that was never comming, don't reply with "Well, you didn't wait around the whole day".

Wait a minute... when you call to complain you actually get to speak to a live human being?!?!?!
I have been on the phone on hold waiting for customer service for a record time of 3.5 hours (in one sitting). In one week I spent well over 6 hours total on hold trying to talk to a person about the triple charges they decided to throw on as a bonus for me one month. YAY!

HATE COMCAST. There was a payper view event thay my fiance waits for all year. It is payper view to raise money for disabled kids or something. Anyway we ordered it and paid for it and there was nothing there.. NOTHING. BIG BLACK SCREEN. I called. they told me it would be on in a minute. Half an hour later I called again. Yeah there is a problem, no one has it.
Don't tell me no one has it when my friend a mile away has Brighthouse and THEY have it! I mention that. He says they are lying. WTF?! No they are not. Get the program on. hour later still not on. I call back to make them take it off my bill. He asks why I waited until half the program was over to take it off. I almost melt down. I VERY nicely explain that this is my 4th call tonight, I am still watching a black screen and am tired of promises that it will be on any minute. He says that he can't take the charge off since over half the program is over. I do melt down. I get transferred to a manager for my additude problem. After a LONG explanation he says he took it off the bill.
Later that month I receive bill.. 24.99 charge. I melt down again. They seem confused. They take charge off when i threaten to go to satalite. They also reduce bill for 6 months to keep me from going satalite. :)
wow! I really love our comcast compared to your stories! Maybe because there is more competition in my area...wow!
I went years getting reduced internet and cable by threatening to switch. Finally they put you on some list of chronic liars because last time I called they switched me over to the cancellation department to terminate my service until I said "oh wait nevermind"
