OPINION of Alli

Does this stuff work?  I have tried it before, but really didn't see any difference...  Is there anything on the market such as Natural vitamins that help with weight loss and water loss?

it works as a form of aversion therapy: eat too much fatty food, get punished severely.  either you'll start eating less fat or you'll purge a good proportion of the fat you do eat.

but if you're someone who doesn't eat a lot of fats anyway, it won't help, because it doesn't do anything to teach you portion control; you have to learn that on your own (which you can do just as well without alli).

and like alli, other diet "supplements" are only effective if you do the work.  save your money; learn to eat well, and get more active.

Alli worked for me. Usually I lose 2 pounds every 2 weeks but with Alli I lost 2.5, so .5 pounds more. I have only 2 more weeks left of Alli pills and after that I'm not going to use anymore since I will be joining a gym and will not need that extra boost. The thing I like about Alli is they are honest and tell you they are not a magic pill and the results are modest. If you want a quick fix, Alli isn't for you. Do more research on their website and also hear *unbiased* opinions on caloriecount by searching for other Alli threads.

Ewwww!  ROFL Laughing

I took alli for a month and never really had any issues. The "anal leakage" scare was great because I was more mindful of what I ate and tried to incorporate as little fat as possible in my diet. I lost a lot of weight with it, almost 17 lbs. I can't really know for sure whether it was me being mindful or the pill really taking off an extra 50% of weight loss. But I agree with pgeorgian, if you already watch what you eat and are mindful of your calories, you don't really need it.

My sister bought me this crap to help with my diet. After three days my gum started bleeding and was very painful as all the vitamins just flushed out of my body-it is one of the side effects. I stopped Alli and took extra vitamin C above my usual. I didn't need to go to the loo more often or had stomach ache, but I wouldn't take it again.
