Opinions: Better N' Peanut Butter

Quote  |  Reply

I found a jar of it at Jewel yesterday, and decided to try it out to maybe help me with the PB binges I go on. I like that it's lower in calories, but I hate that the fat content is next to nothing. And it tastes pretty good in my oatmeal!

What are your opinions?

after switching to real PB, it tastes like garbage.  before i started having real PB i thought it was ok, but now, no going back!

I love better'n pb. I hardly ever eat it because pb is my main source of fat, so if I'm eating pb it's for the fat haha.
However, I've never met a peanut butter I didn't like, so you may have to take my opinion with a grain of salt =p haha

I loved it, but because it was lower-cal, I actually ended up bingeing MORE on better'n than I had on regular. I found it didn't fill me up as fast, so I'd have more of it, and get more cals than I would have from the original as a result. Not a good side effect. But that's just me, so if you like it, go for it!

What I do sometimes for better taste is mix 1 T of betternpb and 1 T of regular pb..better n is too sweet for me sooo this way it tastes just right

I love it. It's delcious on sandwiches with banana and some cinnamon, on warmed apples with cinnamon, oatmeal, smoothies, any recipe really. The trick is to not eat it expecting it to taste like peanut butter, it's just a peanut-y spread. Not peanut butter. And for being a sweet, peanut-y spread, it's amazing!

I returned my jar.  It just didn't taste good to me no matter what I did with it.  I'd rather have a smaller amount of peanut butter or trade off something else or exercise a bit more and have regular peanut butter.

I really like it, but it tastes NOTHING like peanut butter [and therefore is incomparable!]. It has a richer, coffee-ish flavor and is very very sticky, but it's great as a spread. Kinda hard to smear on bread like you would for a PB&J, but still yummy (:

Way too sweet. Way too salty. In a nutshell, "Better N" Peanut Butter is most definatley NOT "better".

The ingredient list is pretty crowded too - I prefer one. Peanuts.
