Hey.... so during the week I'm really good, I keep a 500 calorie deficit, if not a little more, and I work out-- cardio 5-6 times a week, weight training 4-5 times a week. But, I have a father and a boyfriend who are both food fanatics and on the weekends, they usually wanna go all out with delicious foods at amazing restaurants and I just can't resist. I try to exercise moderation but I feel like I've been so strict with my diet for so long that nowadays, when I want to eat something and I don't, it gets me really depressed. (Background info: I developed bulimia and depression as a result of strict dieting and I am now in recovery mode...sometimes, food is the only thing that will make me happy) So, how bad is it, in your opinion, if I eat really well, healthy, and maintain a deficit during the week but eat like my boyfriend and dad do during the weekend? Is there no way I'm gonna keep losing weight?

I think that as long as you eat healthy, and do 60 mintues of exercise 5 times a week, it would be perfectly fine, if not mentally and physically healthy for you to allow yourself to one meal of "eating out". I personally allow myself to one "free" meal a week, where I can eat anything I want, and I've still be losing weight.
can you try to talk to them about it? it might be easier if they understand ur dilemma. perhaps u can join them after mealtime (or join them less frequently, like every other week) so u can avoid the temptation. also, maybe you can find restaurants with delicious yet also healthy food, say, japanese?

im almost recovered from EDNOS, practically previoulsy anorexia until i boosted my weght...(many people may think tis bad to start dieting while im recovering from teh ED, but meh, as i said almost...sometimes i get off track.) and my damn boyfriend loves, food. and he's skinny too...grrr. (ahhh, sighs but hes so damn adoreable and...nevermind...)

anyway.

when it comes to this stuff, darling your overdoing it.

YOU exercise enough. You can afford to eat at a restaraunt.

how many calories do you take in daily?

you can eat at a restaraunt once every week, no worries, just remember not to go overboard, maybe consider, some of these suggestions.

eat a bit before you go.so your not tempted to overeat later about half an hour to 1 hour before.

fill up on water. so you dont confuse hunger for thirst.

order a meal or entree whatever and if you think its too much to eat, dont eat it all. give some to your boyfriend, or father, im sure they would enjoy trying your meal...

make informed choices about what your eating, before going to the restaraunt look at the menu on the interenet...and maybe if your concerened ask about whats in the food.

order things on the side or in a seperate plate so you realise what your eating.
