Worry more about impressing your teachers and less about impressing the upperclassmen. Seriously, who grades your finals?

Get involved in things you want to do but no more - take chances to see what you like, but don't stick with anything you don't.

Easy on relationships, don't get in one for the sake of it. You should never be with someone unless you absolutely can't be without them.

High school is fun - establish yourself with some good friends, have fun, let loose, and create memories.

My greatest regret about High School is putting in as much effort as I did. Unless you're going to go for a scholarship, just do what you need that will get you into the college of your choice. I could have done about half the work I did - you never realise how not important everything you do in high school is until you go to university, and once you're there - that's all gone. Never to be seen again.

I am going to be a junior next year. [010 babeh.] But.. my advice prolly sucks. xP

I am indeed from California the Bay Area actually, so some people have told me that my skool is a lot different than theres [eg, we dont have cheerleaders, band geeks, and no one ever uses the word Jock]

The best advice i can give is... high skool is where ur supposed to be urself and try new things, so do that. if u dont kno exactly who u are? [which prolly doesnt make sense until ur in high school :P] then try and find it.. Do everything until you find something you really enjoy!!!

Same with making friends, talk to everyone until you find ppl u can really feel comfortable with. xP P.S. DONT HOLD BACK!!

As for guys... Its all about what you're looking for and what you make yourself look like youre looking for...

does that make sense?

Anyways.. imma add u if u dont mind. =]<3

High school high school high school...

Well, I'm going to be a senior this year and I gotta say it all went by so fast.

Freshman and Sophomore years were definately the best...not much to worry about, pretty relaxed, lots of fun!

Junior year, hell...dont take too hard of courses if you cant handle them.

I advise you participate in an extra curricular activity, it makes it much more enjoyable and the team bonding aspect is great!

Well, good luck and don't let anyone push you around. :)

I actually need to completely disagree with this advice. I worked my ass off in high school & this fall I'll be starting college, completely free of any debt. I got a full-ride scholarship. That made all my work COMPLETELY worth it, & I advise you to put 110% into everything you do. Even freshman year matters. Just do the best you can.

high school isn't half as bad as people make it seem to be most of the time.  Even though some of your classes will really suck, you'll be around your friends all day long which I know for me, is the most enjoyable part of it - and I love school beucase of that.  Extra-cariccular activites and sports always help a lot too =]

I was a freshman last year, starting a whole new school, and despite what everyone told me, it was a lot of fun! Just being active in classes and being apart of the newspaper (which was really neat), I made loads of new friends. It was a whole new experience but worth it. I loved it.

Just remember to work your freshman year- don't listen to everyone else when they say that its okay to slack off. It's not! Work work work! Being a good student isn't bad.

Oh, and it isn't always going to be fun. I had some rough times, but I just tried to stay focused and I got through them. Just stay positive! :]

Good luck!

High school is great. There's not as much childish drama as middle school because everyone is chill with everyone else. Just make sure you choose the right people to hang out with and make sure they are the people you want to hang out with and not the people you think you should hang out with, i wasted most of my highschool years on people i could barely stand and i regret it so badly :S

I HATED high school...

band nerd, fat girl, girl with glasses, didnt wear makeup/do my hair, nontraditional style, etc etc...very unpopular....very teased to the point of wanting to quit school

it was MISERABLE and I hated every second of it....I also realized that my "friends" werent ever really my friends...the entire time...what a waste....

College was a little better, but not by much....

After college, living in the real world, I realized people never grow out of making other people miserable to boost themselves.

Wow I sound really depressed....

the BEST time ever :)

im a senior this year so im ready to get out of there and move onto college for even more good times. but until then, im just going to have fun!

make a lot of friends. don't be afraid to stay in one group because branching out can be really fun. get involved in extras and in sports, etc.. even if you're shy, try to get out there and go to events and parties too :) ive had so much fun because i know a lot of people in my grade really well, im on the honor roll, and im captain of the varsity tennis team. im also in a bunch of different clubs and with all these things you get to meet a ton of new people! i also loved the football games, the boys, and homecoming! oh ya and try to do well in school. obviously lol.

its really what you make of it. it will be fun if you make it.
