So, I was reading this article about growing up and puberty, the whole shebang, and it said;
"Some people get a temporary layer of fat to prepare the body for a growth spurt. Others fill out permanently. Some people eat healthy foods and work out but still gain weight. Others chow down on everything in sight and still stay skinny."
The first line of that intrigues me, anyone know anything about this / experienced it? I'm only 5" tall and 15 years old, and just gained like 15 lbs over the summer, bumping my weight up to almost 110 lbs, I eat pretty healthily and am a vegetarian. What gives?
your growing! at your age the process is slowing down. dont loose weight, but maintain it and let your body tell you if its hungry or not. 110 is definitely on the skinny side so work on maintaining your weight, and eating healthy because thats what your body needs right now. if you wanna have a good metabolism (which leads to a good body weight) eat healthy!!! xoxo
P.S. keep up the good work:)
