If you do eat there, what do you usually get?

I usually get their grilled chicken and baby spinach salad or a Foot long Turkey sub on wheat bread where I'll eat one half and save the other half or eat both Embarassed depending on how hungry I am.

I am personally really craving a sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub with Swiss cheese and the such..but way too caloric...damn. Ha Ha.

The last time we were there I ordered my turkey sub and  the woman making it behind the counter who was Hindu noticed my order and kind of giggled and said "Ah, are you on diet? I see you didn't get any cheese or sauce. You diet lady." Lmao! I thought that was kind of odd, but funny and just said "Uh yes, Yes I am." I think my guy was more p*ssed off about it then I was. Tongue out

So what do YOU usually get there?

I'm not much into vegetable sandwiches and I wouldn't touch the meat at Subway with a 10' pole so I don't order anything at all there...lol...   Cool

I usually order a 6" tuna mayo on italian bread ... lcheese, lettuce, cucumber, red onion and sweetcorn with a splash of extra mayo

That's pretty judgemental of the lady who was working there. I would NOT be impressed if someone said that to me (but I'm pretty sensitive about weight/diet comments)

As for the sweet onion chicken teriyaki craving.... thats my favorite!! its not really that calorific for a meal....

Anyone know how many calories it is for a pizza sub? I can't seem to find it...

Wellll...at our food court we have four options: KFC, AW, Taco Bell,...or Subway. So I've become pretty versed in the ins and outs of Subway due to the lack of selection.

sweet onion teriyaki is my favorite too. 6" on wheat. I get them to warm it up in the little cardboard box with the swiss cheese on top rather than toasting it on the bread, whenever they do that the bread gets too hard and crunchy. Then get lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, banana peppers.

Although, with the chicken teriyaki sandwich, i always find myself taking the first bite, then picking the veggies out to eat first, then eating the rest. Lol. I could just stop ordering them on my sandwich, but I still like to get the veggies though. Oh well. :]

The other thing i get there is toasted roast beef with swiss and as many veggies as they can pack on minus green peppers and olives. Red wine vinegar on top. Mmm. :]

One day i'll muster up the courage to try the veggie patty sandwich. Lol.

I'm a vegetarian, so I usually get the 6" Veggie Delight (it's the cheapest item on the menu, too!) on wheat with just about every veggie they have (tomatoes, lettuce, cukes, pickles, black olives, green peppers) and dijon or honey mustard, and sometimes provolone cheese. When I ate meat, though, I always went to Blimpie instead (I swear the meat is better there) and got the grilled chicken breast. The veggie patty is OK too (I used to think that the veggie delight meant the veggie patty and once I stood there for like 10 minutes staring at the guy wondering why he wasn't finished making my sandwich yet!) but they don't always have it and I've been unable to find consistent nutritional information on it anywhere... all the sites say different things, some giving it a pretty high count for cals/fat/sodium... it's just not worth it in my mind.

Wow, by reading all these posts it seems that you get much more choice at Subways in America than you do here! I'll have to go and have one whenever I'm in the States to try something more exciting than what we have in the UK.

Anyway, my favourite sandwich at Subway is a 6" Italian BMT on Italian Herbs and Cheese, with lettuce, cucumber, peppers, olives, gherkins and jalapeños, with Southwest Chipotle sauce. When I'm on a diet, however, I usually go for Ham with Honey Mustard Sauce instead, as it saves a fair wack of calories. If I have a ham sub it works out as 340 calories, which I think is really good, especially since there's cheese in the bread.
