oreo COOKIES!!!
There is a package of Oreo cookies in my kitchen... They have been there all week but for some reason I can not stop thinking about them today. Ya know, there is only 160 calories in two of them... And I could eat like 4 or 5 with a glass of milk and just skip dinner???? I feel like going in there opening the package and throwning them into the kitchen sink... Water blasting and garbage disposal ON!!! But I am afraid to touch them... I want one so freakin' bad... this is insane!!!
Go to the kitchen right now before doing anything else.
Dump a bunch of soap, cleaning detergent, etc on them and drowned them in water and throw them in the bottom of your garbage.
Now.
Now.
Is it done.
It better be done.
Now?
Done?
Good.
I used to just throw them out. but there they were, sitting at the top of my garbage not touching anything else. If their all soggy in water and poisoned with cleaning products and at the end of my garbage so i'll have to dig through the rest of the yuck then i won't eat them. by now you'r erational and realzie you'll be hungry right afterwards. 160 calories for 2 freakin cookies???Your probably laughing now. Find something else. a nice soup for the same amount and you can add crackers or a piece of bread and you'll fele full for awhile.
Good job on your willpower girl!! i admire you for coming on here before doing anything and then throwing out those stupid cookies!
I so understand. I hate that. And grocery shopping was done today in my house and there are all kinds of cookies and I keep thinking about them but I have already ate a bad snack today!! I hate it when that happens. I dunno how to deal with it...i always give in. that is why i try and keep them outta the house!!
I would take 2 out of the packet, then do ^ OR, if you live with other people, ask them to hide the cookies from you.
Then enjoy your afternoon snack of 160cals , and don't feel deprived :)
If you do end up eating them, at least yo'll know that actually there are THREE cookies to 160 cals, not two. ;)

3!!! Hmmmmm???
Ha! The oreo's are still safe in the kitchen... I just made a huge salad, steamed some green beans and I am grilling a chicken breast as I type! I DON'T WANT A COOKIE! (well maybe I do?) But I am not going to eat one... NOT EVEN ONE! My son will be home soon. If the urge comes back and he is not here to take them away and hide them (great idea purpleapple!) I will destroy them with the soap!
I love you all for being here! Isn't this the best place. I swear if it was not for this site... I would be on my second sleeve of those evil chocolate cookies by now!
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
Love,
Roxie!
The annoying thing is - some times we do not want the food as much as we THINK we do…often we want something simply because it is there.
I will give you an example; I just finished my high protein dinner. It is cold, and after dinner I always crave a sweet hit/desert.
Right now, I crave some organic chocolate spread - however, I am waiting an hour and drinking some water. If I still crave it I will have it. Usually though, the craving goes away!
There is nothing wrong with having what you want when you crave it. However, if you wait an hour and the craving goes away, then that is a bonus!
My point is: it is a good idea, in my experience, to save the craved food for the times where you STILL have the craving, even after waiting an hour and drinking water and etc.
Save it for the times when you REALLY cannot forget the craving is my suggestion.
In fact, GUESS WHAT; straight after dinner I REALLY CRAVED the chocolate spread. Instead I came on here, and the craving is going away. It is not as strong as it was before.
I have an after dinner snack before bed often, such as a small hand full of nuts or a piece of fruit so now I feel like that will satisfy me.
Anytime I get a craving for something that is so small a portion but extremely high in empty calories I grab a hard candy. Something that takes a while to dissolve and love in calories.
Example:
Jolly Rancher candies, There are 70 calories for 3 pieces. I usually pop one in my mouth which takes more than an hour to dissolve for me and it's only like 23 calories. After that hour I forget the cookies or that bag of potato chips even exists.
Get out of the house. Go for a walk. Do something that requires lots of brain power, so you aren't thinking of those cookies. They aren't worth it - those awful, high calorie things.
If you have the control of the supermarket trips - don't buy them again. If not, find a lower calorie alternative for when you have the cravings - ie sugar free chocolate pudding, skinny cow ice cream sandwich...
