Hi I just started on Monday myself and I haven't lost that much weight as a matter of fact I lost 0.2lbs(don't laugh). I need motivation and I guess so do you.Good luck with everything and hopefully I will hear from you soon.

I will definitely not laugh at .2lbs.  You have to start somewhere.  I guess it's about staying motivated when you don't see the scale move and your clothes aren't fitting any differently.  I love munching and carbs which is not a good mix.  I am try to get better about that.

Dont worry!:) everything will be fine!:) 0.2 is very qood!:)

Hey Monica,

I just started this weight loss last week having never done anything like this before - the key is commitment and not to stray from the path. I have just completed my first week and have lost 2.2 Kilos this is my first weeks journal entry with the changes I have made.

So first week on my weight loss regime and I have gone from 92.3 to 90.1 - so thats 2.2 Kilos :) or 4.9 pounds

Changes I have made are :

Changing my eating habits - I cut out all processed food and just buy fresh food, stopped eating fried foods and fatty foods - eating more healthy foods that will help boost exercising.

Counting calories - I have been logging absolutely everything I eat and drink (except for water) and this has helped me maintain my calorie intake and eat healthy and appropriately, I even plan my next meals by checking the calories in whatever I feel like eating before I cook it just to make sure its healthy - at first I thought this would be a drag and real boring, but I have found it to be very interesting and helpful.

I have cut out salt almost completely - I love salt and used to eat tons of it, I read that salt can help retain huge amounts of water in your body and add to weight gains, I just use a little now in cooking and I can feel my tastes changing to adapt :)

Exercising more - playing squash, golf and walking more, only doing 2 days shopping so I have to walk to the shops every 2 days.

Cut out all alcohol - I used to drink maybe 20 pints at least every week, this week I have drunk 0 and feel much better for it :)

Changed the way my mind thinks about food and exercising - this is probably the biggest thing and what has created the greatest improvement

Quite happy and encouraged :)

So good luck and if you want to add me to your friends list them I would be more than happy :)

HIya i'm new here today.

Want to loose between 20-30lbs.

Need motivation please =]

Hey Becki,

Welcome to the group!:) You can ask me anything about CC! You just have to keep your self thinking about your goal and stay focused to that! I am sure you can do it believe me! Every start is tough!

You CAN DO IT! Here you make your meal, You make your decision about what you are going to it, so choose what is best for your body, not what you crave( but you can have some chocolate, better dark, or a cookies once in a while)

If you have in mind that what you it has an impact in your body then you make a better and healthier choices!:)

KEEP GOING!!!!:D
