I was broseing peoples profiles on here and came across a lady who had lost over a hundred pounds and she said she used other websites one that sent out a great newsletter and i didnt get a chance to go and sign up for it. Does anyone have any suggestions for a plus size woman just starting the weight loss process.

The tickerfactory.com website is nice.  I have one of their tickers on my profile.  I've also used their tickers to track my workout goals.

There's another site that I'm sure someone will chime in with where you can plug in your stats and your goal weight and you can get an idea of what you'll look like at goal.  I can't remember what it is though.  Anybody???

I also use Calorieking.com and Dietfacts.com when I'm searching for calorie information on some of the restaurant food I've eaten.  CC is great but it doesn't have a whole lot of restaurants to choose from.  Um, and this one has helped with exercise ideas for me too...  http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercis es_10.htm

Finally, and this is because I'm constantly upping my workout goals...

http://www.runningintheusa.com/RacesByState.a sp?State=IL&Month=5  I have yet to run any but I have walked a couple (soon to be a few).  Smile

www.fitday.com - I find it easier to enter my foods on that site than on cc+ (sorry).

However, I think fitday is nowhere near as good for figuring out how much to eat as CC+ and phord's calculator (www.phord.com/cc). The calories it tells me I burn in a day without exercise don't make any sense from every other calculator I've ever found.

sparkpeople.com

That just devistated me! lol

www.calorieking.com is great for finding the calories of restaurant food and foods you can't find on here.

www.mapmyfitness.com

Awesome resource for runners, walkers, cyclists, or triathletes, from beginner to expert.  :)

hungrygirl.com is a great site for recipes :) They also review new health/diet foods.

eatbetteramerica.com  I have yet to make a recipe there that I did not like
