Any other teens like me?

Quote  |  Reply

Im in abit of a rut, I only have about 12 pounds left to lose until Im at my goal weight but its like I lost all motivation and keep pigging out on junkfood and just overeating and I keep losing and regaining the same 5 pounds over and over and I havent been to the gym in soooo long.

Any other teens in a similar situation? Or have any tips on how not to eat junkfood and overeat and eat when bored? It might be because its Christmas Break and Im home so once school starts Ill probably be better at not eating but still.... any tips?? I could use a weightloss motivational buddie or something.

I'm in a pretty similar situation - but I've got slightly more (15-20) pounds to go! Its less that I've lost the motivation to diet, more that my body's lost the will to lose weight - no matter whether I stick to my diet or not, the pounds wont shift. grrr

No matter.  This year, I will reach my Goal weight, preferably before august! Rawr.

Yeah that is exactly how I am. The weight doesn't budge. If you want there is a forum called "need someone to lose weight with me, once and for all." Me and like 3 other people are going to kick each other's butts and get this weight off. We are doing a mini 'biggest loser' and whoever loses the most body percentage before June wins. You two are welcome to join. I also did a list of rewards I am going to give myself for each 5 punds I lose. For example, right now I am 5'8 and weight 155, so when I get to 150 I would get like a new pair of pants, and 145 would be some shoes or something like that until you hit our goal weight. That's just the things I am doing until this weight comes off me. I know how hard it is though, so good luck. Go ahead and join our contest also, if you guys want to.

chew gum helps from overeating make sure its sugar free though

well, im not sure if this will help much, but the other day my stepdad told me about how he dieted when he was younger. he said he used to get stuck about halfway to his goal weight and one weekend he would pig out on junk; pizza, cheetos, chips, fries, ice cream, etc...it shocks your body into thinking "oh god we gotta get this crap outta here!" start eating right and exercising again that monday and see if your body keeps burning those calories and the pounds begin to drop again. i haven't tried it myself yet because i havent hit that plateau, but as soon as i start struggling thats what im going to try first. SAME POSITION!

All i think of is how my friends are skinnier

it upsets me; but i eat Special k cereal bars with water to fill me up or a peice of bread! loveee it! or green tea helps you loose weight too

Well I'm far from a teenager any more, but I had the same issues when I was young and even now. Believe me it doesn't get any easier the older you get. The majority of us hit a plateau because our bodies have become accustomed to the diet and exercise we are following. Your body is smarter than you think! You need to change it up a little. Vary your exercise routine and mix up the diet plan that your are following. Most of all keep it safe, healthy, and don't give up. Good luck

the way i lost wieght was doing sports and havinfg motivation to beat someone.

if you think of it... really hard core.
