I'm due to head to the fitness centre and do some lifting but my armpits still hurt from Tuesday's workout.  DOMS, boo. 

Can I just work through the soreness, or do I need to take it easy till my pits (or whatever body part, in case this happens again) are no longer ouchy?  I don't want to actually injure myself but I'm itching to get down there and get to work.

BTW, thanks Amethystgirl for giving me ideas about what I can do with the cable machine.  I'm even able to do deadlifts with it. Whee!

I think you can work through it - you've given yourself 48 hr. And sometimes it helps to ease the DOMS. But just listen to your body - don't push yourself to injury.
