Outdoor exercise outfits-looking for recommendationa

With winter approaching I'm looking for recommendations for proper dressing when walking. last year I had a couple of sweat shirt layers and standard gloves. Looking to buy new and want suggestions. I go out when it gets down to 10f so I need warm stuff.

10 Fahrenheit is -12 centigrade right? Try a goretex jacket, the kind with many zippers and pockets used for mountain trekking not skying, find something to tie over your mouth and nose, a windstopper headband is also good. Just ask for trekking equipment in a sports store, they should have a lot of stuff to pick from, it's the kind of equipment that is light but will keep the warmth even if it's a blizzard oustside.

I'm fond of sporthill's ski pants for most any winter outdoor activity.  They rate their clothing by temp.
