I want to start a club for those of us who have a lot of pounds to lose. Anyone interested?
Thanks Stinky! I haven't givin up, tho I've been soooo lazy this week. But I havent stopped excercising. I just got off the treadmill 3 mins ago. I know I'm not working out as hard but I refuse to just give up because of one slump wknd. I'll get back on track.
Hey guys. Sorry, I havent been on in a while. Ive had a really rough week. How is everyone?
Hey everyone, I'm new to this community and site. I'm 21, 5'11" and I weigh about 217. It's really depressing because it's all stress weight from transferring to a new college and having to deal with being far away from home for the first time. I don't "look" all that fat because I'm so tall but I still feel gross and lumpy compared to where I was 3-4 years ago at 175, which I feel is my ideal weight (though this site is telling me 156...whoa slow down there!!), I've been trying for about two months to cut back and work out more but I'm not seeing results so I'm here to try and get some help and ideas I want to lose at least 20 pounds by August (preferably 30). Hopefully I can do it! Cutting back on calories has been easier than I expected though sometimes mindlessly snacking when boredom hits can be a problem. I've already gotten some good tips though so...we'll see.
I am not going to do so good this week. Last night we had a pizza party for my daughter she is getting married on Saturday. You know how that is going to go...not worried about it if I eat too much, I will just have to work harder at the gym. I am with in 5-7 lbs of goal so it probably won't kill me...but still I hate being so close, but yet things like this get in the way. Oh well I hope she only gets married once. I probably won't be posting much this weekend will be too busy...Hope you all have a good one enjoy your weekend...

Hi everyone...
Jan 14 weighed in at 341 lbs
May 4 weighed in at 274 lbs
now... 256 lbs.. 85 lbs down.. in 6 months
I signed up for a contest for a local radio show called " The great Weight Off" and in may I won it! You can see the contest and before and after pics at this link http://www.wkkx.com/contests.shtml if you go to my name on the page, it has my results at each weigh in which started of at 4 week intervals and ended up at 1 week intervals until the competion ended... I lost about 8 lbs a week. and I am healthy.. I ate Healthy.. I exercised daily.. and truly busted my butt.
I just joined C-C , although I referenced to it often through my weigh off program. I thought i may come in and offer some help to anyone that asks... I have been looking for a solution to LOOSE weight and NOT GAIN for 8 years..... I was the good ol cheerleader in high school, then had 2 kids, and just kept getting bigger!
Here is how I did it in a basic point, if you have a quaetion JUST ASK!
I looked up my BMR ( the # of calories my body burns in 24 hours of rest) and mine now is 2100 calories. So I eat 2100 calories. Everything else I do daily from working, to walking, to driving, to exercising, all of those calories I burn, I am buring excess calories. Every 3500 cal you burn you burn 1 lb of stored fat.
I will sum it up like this...
figure out your BMR and eat that # in calories.
Write everything down. I have a food chart I created if you need it let me know!
I dropped all drinks except WATER!! (SO HARD)
I ate 6 - 7 times a day
I worked out everyday... it depends on how bad you want it....
I can explain how long I worked out and all of that if anyone cares.. JUST ASK! I just want to be here for any questions you may have if I can help I will , if not maybe someon else can. I used www.caloriesperhhour.com for my calories #'s and I have made up a list of most foods I eat... I can email that as well.
Please if you have any questions JUST ASK!
Thanks for looking!

Trisha-
WOW!!! I am impressed. I have lost 80 lbs, but it took me over a year. I have only 5 more to hit goal weight. BMI is a great way to look at it if BMI works for you. A lot a guys like myself some women, but seems to be mostly men have issues with BMI it doesn't work for me. I am just not built to be 6' 1" and 185 lbs. That would be with in my BMI range. Instead I use body fat counter it works more for me than BMI. But still you WOW!!

I use BMR not BMI ......... Basil Metobolic Rate.... The rate of calories my body burns at rest! If I eat what my body burns naturally daily.. then everything else I do daily, ALL IM DOING IS BURNING FAT! Make sense?
OK yea sorry thought it was a typo. Yea I pretty much do that already. I burn off 2140 normally and keep my calories to a 2200 a day, so I am close, but I work out 2 times a day. So I need to keep a little more calories on hand just in case...CC kind of does that for you if you use the tools on this site.

Carmeezy143: welcome!! I just joined a week ago myself and have lost 7 lbs (water weight included probably)!
I started just by doing a few things right and will add things as I can. I am not exercising yet but will soon. I wanted to get my food plan, calorie counting down first.
Just decide what you are going to do each day and go one day at a time!
Best wishes!
Brenda

Hi everyone,
I'm new here....i am...
Age: 29yrs. old, Height: 5'7 1/2", Weight: 225lbs and i'm just disgusted with myself.
Before i got pregnant i was at about 200lbs. like that wasn't bad enough already, i miscarried about three months after and i gained 25lbs. Suckz BIG TIME! Anyways, i really wanna get back on track and get to the weight that i'm supposed to be at. It's been about three months since i miscarried and yet i'm still at the same weight.
Anyways, i really need the motivation and encouragement. I've already started by eating healthy and hitting the gym and doing cardio for 30mins. 4-5 times a week. The eating part started about a month ago, and the exercising just started last week. But i wanna lose more in a shorter amount of time. Any suggestions?
Thanks for reading!

Hi Everyone, I'm weighing in at 268.75 and I'm 5'9". Honestly, I can't really believe that I weigh that much when I write it. I always weighed 135 until I was in my late 30's and lost a child at birth. I had gained extra weight with her, and really thought I would lose it fairly easily due to breast feeding, new baby, etc. Her death, 20 hours after birth just undid me, then we divorced due to the pain, more craziness followed, anyway you get the picture. She was born in 1988 on June 28 so I'm approaching carrying this pain and weight for 20 years now. It has gone by way to fast, even though sometimes it still feels like yesterday. There were many, many more crisis events over the last 20 years, but now that my life is stabilizing I can focus on my health. Which, at this weight, is really critical. I've tried a lot of other diets throughout the years and have come to realize that the best one is just where I am totally responsible and accountable for my choices. That means no food plans, no one else's ideas of what works, just me, my body and the calories I eat. I love it really. I takes all of the blame, shame, would of, should of, could of.... out of what I eat, and it just comes down to the energy the food provides. If I want to eat a piece of creamy cheee cake for breakfast that is 900 calories, then I own it. All of it, including how miserable I feel about it.
As a result of someone else's post I got on Meetup.com and joined a couple of groups in Phoenix, where I live. I'm excited about finally creating a life for myself.
Thanks for being here everyone. I look forward to our journey together.

Hey guys!
I'm back! It's been awhile since I have been on, but I just started a new job and what with school, the job, and my three year old, it's been pretty hectic around here! Welcome to all our new members!
Things are going good---I just checked a little while ago and at the start of June I was 216 and now on the 26th (? I can't even remember what day it is...lol) I am down to 208. Which is a big accomplishment since I am working in food service---so to be around food all day is TEMPTING to say the least.
I just wanted to come on and wish everyone a happy 4th! Come Saturday, I will be on vacation and hopefully won't blow it too much!
Talk to ya'll soon!

Hey Beckie-
Great job, I have not been posting much either. I have been reading them, but not posting. We probably ought to post more often so it doesn't get lost. I haven't been doing very well. Daughter got married on Saturday, ate and drank too much. Brother-in-law with new baby is in town this week. Went out for pizza last night...and going over to in-laws for dinner tonight. Oh well guess I have to hit the gym really hard next few days. As long as I stay the same not worried about it. I will catch up. I am with in 5-8 lbs of goal as long and I don't blow up like a cow I should be fine. I am not worried (yet). I eat well for breakfast and lunch and try to save a much as I can for dinner that way it isn't too too bad for me...

Hey Stinky!!
Congratulations on your daughter's marriage! It's an exciting time. I'm jealous that you only have a couple more pounds to go. 207 on the scale today, another pound down. Tonight I am off to my daughter's soccer game and then off to Applebees with a friend. At least they have the calories for their Weight Watcher's entrees!
Have a great weekend!
