LOL id go for the regular V8 the splash has ALOT of sugar! Oh my goodness made my nephew nuts (he's 2 1/2 and doesnt eat vegies she tried this oh my goodness he was a monster, and was normal after she stoped giving it to him, he doesnt get sugar) but ill have to try the reg V8 and here's a lil somethin for your corn, that spay butter!! its great, it tastes like butter but it has nothing in it the one i use has no calories, or really anything else so bring on the corn... I get mine at walmart i buy the cheap one lol. but its great!
V-8 counts, I use it all the time when I don't get all my veggies in. I o for thelow sodium ones. I tried the V8 splash but there was far too much sugar in there. They do have a diet splash which looks better on the label but I have not tried it yet.
Hi everyone! I was wondering if I could join your group? I'm 21 yrs old, 5'4, 212 lbs. I just started my healthier lifestyle yesterday (for what I hope is the FINAL TIME, since I've been doing a lot of yoyoing).
Ive been on CC for awhile now but I've been lurking, for the most part- there's just so much support and great info on this site! Finally decided to take the plunge and lose the weight.
My first goal is basically to get under the 200 mark and never get back there again...
I was really looking for a group of people that could keep me accountable (ie- help keep me on track)! I'm just so sick of being overweight...

I would like to join you as well! I have been with CC since March (but not faithfully) and I have recently been on everyday since last week. I currently weigh 260 lbs (5'9" tall) and I have been up and down this last year (lowest 227 lbs on a fad diet). Obviously you can see from my weight that as soon at I went off the fad diet I gained back. I am SO tired of this yo-yo effect.
I have been heavy my whole teen/adult life and now that I have 2 children I am more motivated than ever b/c I don't want them to have the "fat" mom.
My plan...introduce healthy eating and exercise habits and get rid of old habits. No fads, nothing unsafe....just healthy, fresh, raw foods and get moving!!!
My first goal is to hit 230 lbs.
Thanks for the stats on the V8. im deff going to have to add that in or i will never get enough veggies in.
so fat this site has been great, learned alot and really made me feel like i really wasnt the only one that strugles with this problem (its obvious i dont but a life time of extra weight makes u feel like u are) but anyways I just wanted to say thanks to everyone!! ill deff stick around here!!

Hi all been a couple of months...always get motivated when I come in and read posts. I am down to 352 almost 30 lbs (woo hoo).
I have noticed that after being here pretty faithfully you establish habits that stay with you. Again thanks for everyones help especially you stinky.
I got my wife started on CC mid June (She's alot better than me)...She has lost 22 lbs. about 12%.
The program works.
Hey Busy I am glad you are back, I was worried you dropped out or something. Glad everything is working out for you and the wife. Doing it together really does help. My wife and I do it together as well. Although we eat differently, she has her calorie intake and I have mine and we pretty much fix different meals at dinner time, but hey it works.
To add to Busy's post, this really isn't a program it is a life style change. Yes is does work this isn't one of those "FAD" diets it is a "Life Change" if you are not willing to change it then it will not help you. It falls on you to be motivated and to help others who need motivation, if you follow the simple rules eat less calories than you burn off then you will lose weight, with in the healthy guides lines of course.

So i tried the V8!! OMG ITS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are going to be hard to drink! any other sugestions on getting vegies i dont know how many of those i can take not everyday thats for sure all i like is corn and carrots!
I have no idea how to get more in. I have never tried V8 so not sure how bad it is. I figured it was like tomato juice? I am guessing not. You could try to make your own with the veggies you like, but that would require you to go buy one of those machines. Who knows how long you would use it since you are not a big veggie fan. Maybe try some vitamin supplements maybe that would help you get some in, not sure if they consider them "servings" or not. I know I had to learn how to like veggies too. There are a few I cannot eat or will not eat. The more you gag them down the more you get used to them.

It is like tomato juice but i had a co-worker taste it and its over powered by celery (yuck) actuly it reminds me of spagheti O's lol (which ive never liked ) im a very picky kid if ya havnt noticed. ill just stick with some salad and just put extra stuff in it like a bunch of carrots and (raw) spinich. thanks though,,, but if u or anyone else has any advice on what i can do the rest of the week, im going to orlando for wed thru sun. to celibrate mine and my best friends 21 birthdays. other than the drinking i dont want to kill this. we are brining some things to eat but there is no mirowave but a fridge. i was thinking of making some meals put it in a bag and heat it up with hot water. but thats all i can really come up with to do i know we are planning to eat out friday and sat so i will be able to get a salad or something like that where ever we go. but i dont want to just eat the 100 cal snacks all week any ideas any one??
If you get salad, make sure they have light or ff dressings. Also make sure you get the cheese and extras on the side or not at all they contain hidden calories, cheese is really bad because places put a lot of cheese on salads. Also, you might want to take like light bread and maybe some lowfat lunch meat use mustard rather than mayo. I am not sure if you are driving or flying, might be hard to take a cooler on a plane, but you can get a cheap-o one while you are down there and just keep ice in it. Also you can get like small bags of pretzels to snack on they are not too bad for you. Also maybe some Otima(snack)Bars from Slim-Fast those are good for snacks plus gives you a little sweet for those cravings as well.

Yeah!!! I think I broke my plateau!! I tried super hard last week to make sure I walked a couple of times last week and drank lots of water and woo hooo I was down 6 pounds!!! Now I just gotta stick with it and hopefully I will still be down next week.

So I made it this weekend! lol didnt do so good with dietting though but i knew that was going to happen i went up 4 pounds but that was from the drinks... but im back on today and drinkin water and going to the gym tomorrow! have to make up for that!!! hope everyone else had a good weekend!!
Yea drinking will do that. Calories add up really fast. Drinking lots of water will help. Also salt intake will hold a lot of water as well so drinking a lot of water will help flush your system. Never Never weigh yourself after a vacation you will shoot yourself for doing so...Just kidding sort of...I always wait a week then weigh myself gives my body time to go back to normal after that if I have gained then I know for sure I did something really bad just have to work harder the next week. It normally only takes a week to make it up again, not a big deal in the long run. I am glad you made it and had a good time...now get back to work...
Lol work... your funny. what makes you think I work when im at work im on here! lol. Ya I will wait untill the end of the weekend to weigh my self again. Hopefully its back down by 4 lol. But I wasnt disapointed I was expecting it to be more but i made sure i walked alot around the hotel and utalized the stairs lol. Now we are (at work)are taking a 10 min break to run the stairs lol its only a 4 flight bilding thank goodness!! we will see how long this will last. Have a good week! and dont for get you water!
