My name's Sally and at 5'4" 285 pounds I am morbidly obese. 

I joined CC today and my highest weight in April was 305.  So 20 pounds gone and I'd like to lose 135 pounds more.  I could write a book, but it's late and I managed 2.25 miles today.  1500 calories.

I'll be baaack.  ( I said that in my best Arnold voice...could ya tell?tired!
Hi, Amandie here... 5'2 and 220lbs.


I've been on CC for a few weeks now. My highest was 230 last month and am hoping to drop down to 145 to 160. It's hard to get started... and keep going but it'll be worth it once I see some changes in my body. :)

Yea u were right!! lol (which is good) i had to weigh my self to see lol.. came home from vacay- sunday and went up to 269 weighed today at 266 so hopefully i can makeup the rest and then some the rest of the week at the gym! ya im not going to weigh my self anymroe after a week of vacation and drinking lol
hey everyone!

I'm back! I was out of town visiting my family and while I was up in NH, I didn't lose any, but didn't gain any either. So that's good. The new college semester started and I am taking five classes, so full time to the hilt. Crazy busy with my daughter too---her preschool starts next week and of course all the activities such as soccer and bowling too!!

So---I may not be on for a while! My husband and I have decided to start trying for another baby! I feel like I have gotten down to a comfortable weight (196 today!) and will continue to try to lose until I get pregnant, but after that, I'm just going to be trying to eat healthy and exercise. I don't want it to be like last time and gain eighty stinkin' pounds!

Okay today is the crunch day!  Saturday night and we are having people over for dinner.  That means I gotta somehow balance yummy foods and not consuming 2 pieces of cheesecake!!  Sigh...  Don't you hate special occasions?

Well then, my name is Andrey, I am 6'0 tall and last time I weighed myself I was 231 lbs, my goal is 187 and I have started my diet on august the 22nd while weighing 235.


I'm in the over 300 lbs category but not far from the +200lbs group, so I figured It wouldn't help to sign up here. :)

Hi, I just joined this site a few days ago. I'm 5'3 and 260.  It has been really helpful. Just finding out how many calories are in the foods I usually eat has made me realize why I'm so fat:(   I think this site will finally motivate me to lose those pounds!!!

Glad you are here and getting started. Yes that is one thing we are all surprised at is how much we really do eat, or I should say how many calories we consume. I had no idea until I logged into this site. I took my typical day once and figured it out, it was darn scary. No wonder I was fat and felt nasty...now that I have been here for a long time I can say I will never, never eat like that again...Welcome if you have any questions feel free to ask. Some one here will know the answers...
Yeah it's been lot of Good day's I don't want to think of Bad Days its Summer and Summer means lot's of fun with family and friends.  I've handled it very well I know I should be down at least 10 or 15 lbs more then where I'm at now but that's ok its not bad.  I'm still losing and from a size 22 to a size 12 I'm very happy.  I'm going to work on those 10lbs for September and drink much more water yeah it's not easy but I'm not in a hurry cause I want this weight to stay off.  This isn't a diet for me it's a life change I want to look good for 60.  Enjoy Labor day have fun and use your Food Log it really helps.

i am around 285 or so down from 320 six weeks ago. i am aiming for 220 by next summer. i go to the ymca 5 days a week and am slowly increasing my endurance. i am 37 and i find that the rate of milage increase is about half of what it was 10 years ago. i kinda expected that but its still depressing. i have dieted pretty hard this week. tomorrow night we are having friends over for ribeyes and alcohol. i have no idea what that will do to my systtem after over a month of hard dieting.  wish me luck
Jamesn-Nothing should happen, you might gain a little, but it will not take long for it to go away...a lot of it will be salt in take and all you need to do is make sure you keep up with your water in take that will flush out your system...you will not notice much weight change if any at all...Hope you had fun...

Good Morning!  Jamesn sounds to me like your doing GREAT! I use to be a member of the YMCA are you doing the water aerobics?  I lost a lot of weight in the pool.

When having steaks and alcohol I Stick to 6oz steak, Salad and alcohol drink Cranberry and Vodka cals 64, Zero Carbs eat all the salad I want mmmm I love salad.  I started CC in January at 243 I haven't weight this morning yet but I hope I'm at 196 yikes...that would be fabulous (: . At 243lbs I was very depressed  knees could not hold my weight I thought of buying a walker, a cane or a walking stick I wasn't able to stand more than 10 seconds in the shower I was miserable.  Finally I said ENOUGH what was I thinking. Then I found CC and all these wonderful people used all the logs I'm taking it slow day by day.  I keep focused with my goal weight always in front of me.

Have fun enjoy life and your friends it's about moderation "I hate that word" but yes If we want to lose we need to limit our portions and keep a picture in your minds eye how you want to look at your goal weight and keep it in front of you.  Last night my brother-in-law offered me a wonderful dessert.  I said "No thank you" but, when I reach my goal weight we will come back here and celebrate.  Sure I could have had it but I wanted the cranberry vodka instead. I'm focused on 135lbs.  E mail me I would be happy to take a walk with you. An hour, two hours A.M or P.M let me know we can do this together.

I just have to share this with you... A friend that I haven't seen in about 4 months.  We got together for dinner last night after dinner she said... You look great I can't believe you lost a ton of weight.  She had on a size 12 beautiful summer pant outfit on.  She went into my bedroom took off her suit and gave it to me and said I am so proud of you I'm giving you this suit the suit is so beautiful.

loven---your plans are like the same as mine. I started losing weight at the end of April---started at 239 and right now today I am 194. With summer, it has been hard to lose the weight but I feel just great! I put up my sizes 16 and 18 up for sale and am so happy to be rid of them!!!! Today I put on my size twelves and they are starting to get too big...woooooo!

Still keeping my fingers crossed for that baby though! It took three months for me to get pregnant with Lindsey, so I'm not too worried. My husband has been in a VERY good mood lately :)

Cool THat a gril Beckiey8 Doesn't it feel GREAT! I really feel I have accomplished something this year BIG PAT ON THE BACK TO YOU! It feels so good to fit into a size 12 doesn't it?  My daughter is getting it together joined a GYM class at the Jr. College Mom's fitting into her clothes Yikes at least it got her motivated I joined the Water Challenge and drinking so much water I'm committed at 68oz everyday I've been going over that amount so I'm doing good.

Yeah, I got rid of all my BIG clothes I really feel healthier I think I'll stick to this I LIKE IT!

Hurray only 3lbs away to truly fit in here.

I'm at 302 lbs right now so only a week or so more and I'll be singing the tune of being below 300lbs again. Hurray!

Top 100 reasons to lose 100 pounds
1. To feel good about ourselves
2. To have GREAT sex!
3. So we won't think people are laughing or talking about us
4. To buy clothes in a normal store and actually get clothes with some style to them that fit correctly
5. To have more energy
6. To be able to tie your shoes/paint toenails
7. To be able to sit on a floor and get up gracefully
8. To wear a bathing suit
9. To cross your legs or sit Indian style
10. To fit into an airline/theatre/bus/whatever seat without spilling over and without having to see "that look" from the person who has to sit beside you.
11. So our ankles won't swell
12. To fit into a booth at any restaurant
13. To not need an extension to a seat belt on an airplane and to have the tray table not balance on our bellies
14. To not worry about being decapitated in our cars with our seat belts on if we should be in an accident
