Over 200 club!
if you have any suggestions, please tell me....
That infection must really be a pain. Good luck with that, and the weight loss before the beach.
I just bought a new cover-up to wear to the pool. My frustration is that they make all these skirts to cover up thighs, but what I hate is my upper arms.
Hey jon, take care of that infection. The last thing you want is cellulitus! Trust me on that..... Kudos on not giving up on the diet after the momentary relapse.
luvtraveling, good to see you still motivating people. I hear you about the coverups! I hate my upper arms. Or bye-bye Betty's as we call them around here because when you wave goodbye, they keep on waving! I hate my thighs too, come to think of it. Heck, I think the only part of me I'd allow to see the sun if I were to go to the beach would be my feet, head and hands! LOL
I've not been on here for awhile. I've been blessed with the will-power and fortitude to change my lifestyle and as such, have managed to go from 400 pounds to under 200 pounds. I'm on the verge of the 180s and hope to hit them on my next weigh-in.
Good luck to the all of you trying to get to that 'below 200' mark. It is possible with a lot of dedication and hard work.
hi all,
hope everyone is well. am 212 lbs today which is about the same as last week (it is noit a plateau, it is "losing a bit and then eating a bit too mugh, gaining a bit".)
back on track now, and planning to walk a lot today
I just started at a gym and think I will like it. I did a lot of cardio and little weights. I feel great.
By the way, hope everyone is enjoying spring.
Good for you ase_t. I Am enjoying spring but have been real busy.

Yay!!! That's the next big step to a better you!
It took me a long time before I felt confident enough to join a gym and now I love it!
Kudos, ase t!!!
I made it back to the gym today for the first time in a couple of weeks and it is well worth it. I was tired and had to force myself but it is such a good feeling when you are done.

hmm, 209 pounds as of this morning. this is better. it took willpower though as i bought some fantastic cheese and felt like eating a ton of it in about 5 minutes, hehe
It's a new month, and unofficially a new season. I like to re-assess things, give a fresh start with the new seasons (and I go by unofficial season start dates--for me, summer is the months of June, July, and August in their entireties).
Yesterday I put my summer sheets and blanket on the bed (I have different linens for each of the four seasons--it's one of my quirks). And I promised to re-start my good intentions with new resolutions (why start only once a year?)
So here they are:
Daily
- Walk five miles
- Drink 2-3 liters of water
- Take multi-vitamin reliably
- 5-6 servings of fruits/veggies
- 25+ g fiber & <2400 mg sodium
- 1200-1500 calories
Summer
- Finish the quilt I started YEARS ago
- clean out my closet
- weed out my bookshelves
hey all I'm sorry i haven't been on here in a long time. With getting a new girl friend due to a huge confidence boost from losing weight, the gym and work i have been really busy. Especially since she has a 1 year old but i love em both hard to keep up with though. As for weight loss I'm down to 238 that a total of 77 down I'm more energetic, loving and easier to be around according to my mom. I didn't go to the beach i chose to stay with my girl instead but i still got under the unreal goal that i had set and with 3 days to spare mind you. I hope everyone else is having such good luck and are meeting their goals head on.
Oh yeah i also meet on of my other goals and that was to do a pull up i can do like 3 in a row now where Ive never been able to do even one. hooray me. ill talk to you all soon.
Is this thread still active or is there a new one that I should go look for?

i was wondering too. got to 199 today so i actually might look elsewhere, but anyways
Hello to all the ppl that I have talked to!
:-)
Hello dreamcruz! Seems like an eternity since i have posted here. I went through a really rough depressed spell, and an awfully miserable winter with severe arthritis pain. I gained a lot of my weight back. Last time i saw my dr she told me a drier climate would help, and to throw out the scales and just eat right. Sooooo....we have moved to a drier climate and i do feel better, and my wscales are in storage with everything else we own until we find our own apartment. I wish i had them, though, and i know i have lost some because i can actually get some exercise here. My diet is far less than good just now, as we are living with our wson and his family, and they live on mac n cheese, pizza, white bread, peanut butter, sod pop, etc! i am just eating very little of it to compensate until my funds come in tomorrow and i can shop for myself. glad to hear you have lost....you go girl! Hello to any "ol-timers" out there who may remember me. I will be back in a month or two and give this thing another run.
Hi, we have a couple of things in common. I have gained about 20 lbs since my daughter was born. She is 5 as well. I used to have the Mirena but had it removed this year in the hopes that I may have another child. In the mean time, I want to lose weight. I don't have any health problems other than my weight which has broken the 200 lb mark this year at 205lbs. :( I used to be a 10/12 and now I am at a size 16 and pushing 18. I have a sedentary job and work at a desk. I don't excercise as much as I used to. I did learn to swim a couple of months ago which is very fun! I need to get a hold of my eating habits and leave junk alone, stop the late eating and snacking (icecream and cereal are my weakness). I need to take control. I am going to try tracking my meals and calories and see if I have any success. It worked once before.
hi gang I havn't posted here in awhile and maybe I should cause I got alot of support here. I am at a point where I feel it's time to give up AGAIN!! and posting in a forum is something I havn't done in Forever maybe it will help huh?? Good to be back!
