HI! My name is Laura and i am 5-5 and 235 lbs as of today. I did weigh 240 almot 2 weeks ago. I am counting calories cuz I do not know what ele to do. When i gave birth, I only weighed 201 lbs! My son is 5(his bday is halloween). I cant believe i have put on so much lately. I have high blood pressure so I am on Diovan. I am also on protonix( for heartburn). I took myself off depo provera lat Sept and currently have the IUD, Mirena. Birth control was part of it but that is why I switched to IUD. I am taking it slow, and watching what I eat. I guess I am supposed to stay under 1700 calories and I walked 20 minutes today. I hate exercise now but I have to do it to lose weight the old fashioned Way!
if you have any suggestions, please tell me....

Hey I feel like I'm talking to myself!  Where is ginny, jon_smith, tabby, bigmomma, dawn????

Today was a day off for me.  Had a chance to clean up around the yard a bit and in my flower gardens...getting ready for fall.  Leaves have started to change all those pretty colors here.  Beautiful day but I know what is coming in a few months.  That bad "W" word.

jons here not much to say though nothing has changed but i went from benching 225 too 305 within 2 months that have passed that is a big difference

11 pounds...woohoo!!!  Congrats!

I am back on track, though I slipped off the track yesterday and in the middle of the night...but I am back now...I am determined...and I just need to stay away from Chinese food, cookies, and zingers...:)  So yesterday was about 1500 calories above maintaining...but I can do it...so today is another day!

I am babysitting so the baby and I will go for a walk this morning...2.3 miles is our new trek...my ankles and knees are killing me...but I will walk anyway...I need the exercise...might walk it again tonight by myself for a little extra exercise after my bad day yesterday...back to fruits, veggies, and salads for me...:)

 

Hi mama...I am still here ...just been going to the group I asked everyone to going and forgot to come on here yesterday...I am sorry.  I will come back on here too...I am so happy for you and losing 11 lbs...YEAH~!!!!!!  We should do the HaPpY DaNcE for you!!!!

Hi guys...well I missed yesterday and now it is already 7:35 my time...I am sorry I did not get back on here right away.

We went scouting for hunting spots yesterday, left in the morning and did not get home until 10 pm.  Today I finally got the green beans done, 20 lbs of them.  My DH did help with them which was wonderful...tonight though he has not been so nice.  Oh well...I did really good on eating today and now am cleaning up to go to bed.

I thought I might come on here this mroning to wish you all a great day.  I am working in town and hopefully will be able to take the baby for a walk which will be good for both of us...Happy losing...

Tabby glad you're back on track...now give me some of your motivation.  Lost that 11 lbs but now I'm at a stand still.  Maybe I should stay away from that scale...discourages me.
Ginny don't dance to long I'm struggling to keep motivated.  Oh and what board are you talking about?

I haven't lost any weight this week but yet have not gained any either...yeah!!!

Hey Everybody! Long time no see. Cool

This summer was not as productive for me as last year. As a matter of fact, I think I gained about 20 pounds back. I guess I left the group a little too soon. Now, with winter fast approaching,  I guess I better get back on the ball.

Well, I did do one good thing at least ... I just bought an exercise bike. Now I just have to get back in the habit of countin' those calories. It's good to see you all are still here just in case I need help with my arithmetic Laughing

 

Hi ell- welcome back- I am jealous re the bike--I am saving the pennies nickles and dimes hoping to get one, well actually, the other thing- forget the name- for Christmas- I wanted a bike- husband wanted..what is it called- like a bike/stepper/arm thing---anyway- hope it helps-

Momma- sorry was not around when you were looking- I am having the hardest time finding this group again- after I post to it- UNLESS I get an email to say a reply was posted...so help me- how do I get to it - just from my HOME page!!!??? 

I wish I had found it 10 minutes ago- I was needing support- I goofed and went from -under- my daily goal- to well above- how does that happen so quickly and for me- always after 8pm......ugh!

I have to say - did you ever notice- the first few weeks of counting were rough- but then all of a sudden, I don't know if your body changes, or you just 'get it' but it becomes less difficult and you actually are not hungry- 'like before'.  ????  (In tonights episode I was not eating out of hunger- more out of a craving- wanted a 'few' BBQ chips- and then ate a 'few too many'...)

Just wondered if it gets easier in the exercise department- right now it is all hit or miss- and I KNOW that is the key to moving forward- but there are a million excuses, reasons, whatever you want to call themn- a million reasons why it never gets done----

I will keep trying- for now it is just getting outside- I am in Texas so it is only now getting cool enough to go out and 'enjoy' the exercise- I hope to make use of this 'cool' weather!

Hi dawn...I am glad it is cooling off for you in Texas...I grew up there, Copperas Cove, near Ft. Hood and Killeen...I miss it sometimes but it was my childhood, when I have gone back as a grown up it didn't look the same  ;-(

But now I live in Wyoming and I love it here after moving around so much...it is nice to put down roots again...it is definitely cooling off here as well...I keep hoping winter will hold off for just a little bit longer...oh well...

Well, I wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing...I hope it is going well.

 

Hi everyone over here...I hope all is going well...I finally made it down a little on the scale, from 275 to 272...I am so glad it is not still going up...I feel like I am finally getting a handle on things again, can make some headway into life...;-)

hello again...thought I would stop in and say Hi to everyone...I hope all is going well....Today I have been back on CC for 3 weeks...I am finally counting cals again and looking forward to being back down to 225!  I am hoping that you all are still on this wagon and that we can keep it going.

I found us on page 5, sad huh???  I hope that everyone is doind well and working toward their goals...let me know if you are still around.

hey all havnt been on in a while been real busy with school not counting to many calories right now just trying to get stronger and then cut weight at a later date ginny i love the dedication that you have i wish i could only keep up on here as well. rmoma i doubt ill be a pile of muscle but i hope that it is paying off. i am able to run a mile and a half now in about 15 minuets but i feel like my ribs are dying after. so i guess what they say is wrong a big man can run. im about 242 now but i feel really well i actually feel better than when i was 218 and a heck of a lot stronger. I ope to hear from you all very soon and hopefully i cant start back with you all.

Ok- now I am really depressed- only kidding- but I am not much bigger then 242- and the thought of running 10 feet is unimagineable- and you are doing a mile and a half- HOW!!!  Actually how did you get to the point that it is possible?  I just recently started coming here- so if you have told your story before I am sorry I missed it- but could use some encouragement- Everything I do feels so overwhelming- I did 10 whole minutes of cardio today and it wipes me out- I used to dance and do aerobics for 2 hours a day- what the heck has happened???  I just can't stand to look at the person I see in the mirror- it is not how I feel and when I see what the world sees I just want to throw up!(not literally- ) but I think you get the picture- it is not how I feel inside so when I go to do something and have no energy my brain just can't understand!!
